3. Using the MBP10S
3.1 Volume adjustme nt on the Pa rent unit
There are 5 volu me levels on the parent unit.
• Press
( to increase the volume level.
• Press
) to decrease the volume level.
NOTE
When you press ( or ) a beep is played at the volume le vel currently set,
but if you try to adjust beyond the maximum or minimum levels it will output a
double beep.
4. Disposal of the Device (environment)
At the end of the product life cycle, you should not dispose of this
product with normal household wast e, but take the product to a
collection point for the recycling of electrical a nd electronic equipment.
The symbol on the product, User’s Guide and/ or box indicates this.
Some of the pr oduct materials can b e re-used if yo u take them to a
recycling point. By reusing some parts or raw mater ials from used
products you make an important con tribution to t he protection of the environ ment.
Please contact your local authorit ies in case you need more informatio n on the
collection points in your area.
Dispose of the batteries in an environment ally-friendly manner according to your
local regulations.
5. Cleaning
Clean the MBP10S with a slightly damp cloth or with an anti-st atic cloth. Never use
cleaning agents or abrasive solvents.
Cleaning and care
• Do not clean any part of the product with thinners or other solvent s and
chemicals –- this may cause permanent damage to the product which is not
covered by the warranty . When necessary , clean it with a damp cloth.
• Keep your MBP10S away from hot , humid areas or strong su nlight, and do not
let it get wet.
• Every effort has been made to ensure high standards of rel iability for your
MBP10S. However , if something does go wrong, please do not try to rep air it
yourself –- consult Customer Service for assi stance.
6. Help
If the baby unit has lo st its link with the parent un it
• T ry recharging or replaci ng the batteries.
• If the baby unit is too far away it may be goin g out of range, so move the baby
unit closer to the parent unit.
• Reset the unit s by unplugging the unit s’ electrical power . Wai t for around 15
seconds before plugging back in. Allow up to one minute for the baby unit and
the parent unit to synchronise.
Interference
Noise inte rference on your pare nt unit
• Y our baby and parent units may be too close. Move them furth er away from
each othe r .
• Make sure there is at least 3. 5 feet between the 2 uni ts to avoid feedback
howling.
• If the baby unit is too far away it may be goin g out of range, so move the baby
unit closer to the parent unit.
• Make sure the baby and p arent units are not near other electrical equipment ,
such as a television, computer or cordless/mobile telephone.

What Does this Warranty Cover?
Subject to the exclusions contained below, BINATONE warrants that th is Motorola
branded product (" Product") or certified accessory ("A ccessory") sold for use with
this product t hat it manufactured to be fre e from defects in mat erials and
workmanship under normal consumer usage f or the period outlined below. This
Warranty is your exclusive warranty and is not transfer able.
Who is covered?
This Warranty extends only to the first consumer pur chaser, and is not transferable.
What will BINA TONE do?
BINATONE or its authorized distribut or at its option and within a commercially
reasonable time, will at no charge repair or replace any Products or Accessories
that does not conform to t his Warranty. We may use functionally equivalent
reconditioned/ refurbished/ pre-owned or new Products, Accessories or parts.
What Other Limitations Are There?
ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE
IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A

2.3 Pare nt unit power supply
1. Connect the small plu g of the power adap ter to the power conne ctor on the
parent unit and the other en d of the adapter to the power outlet (100V -240V ~ 50/
60Hz).
NOTE
Only use the enclosed adapter (5V DC/600mA).
2. Press and hold
P. The Power (ON / ) LED will illuminate r ed when it is
connected to powe r supply .
3. Press and hold
P to switch off the parent unit.
2.4 Link
NOTE
Do not place the baby unit or cable s in the crib or within arm’ s reach of the baby
(the unit should be at least 3.5 fe et away).
When using the baby monitor for the first time, it is advised to test the conne ction.
• Install the pa rent unit in the same room as the baby unit, but make sure t here is
at least 3.5 feet between the 2 unit s.
• W hen both units are switched on, the parent unit will sear ch for the baby unit.
• The green link LED on the par ent unit will flash until the parent unit is
connected with the baby unit.
Once the link is established, the LED will stop flashing.
• The sound captured by the microphone on the baby unit will be audible on the
parent unit.
• The detected sound level is i ndicated by the LE Ds on the front of the p arent unit.
• When the connection is established, move the pa rent unit to the room you want
to monitor from, but wi thin the operational range .
• When there is no connection or the unit is out of range, the p arent unit emits a
warning beep every 20 seconds and the green link LED on the parent unit will
flash.
• Move the parent unit closer un til the link is r e-established.
Communication Services. Defects, damages, or the failure of Produ cts or
Accessories due to any communica tion servi ce or signal you may subscribe to or
use with the Products or Accessories is excluded fro m coverage.

(receipt) which includes the date, place and seller of the Pro duct; (c) if a warranty
card was included in your box, a completed warra nty card showing the serial
number of the Product; (d) a written descript ion of the problem; and, most
importantly; (e) your addr ess and telephone number.
These terms and conditions constitute the complete warranty agre ement between
you and BINATONE regarding th e Products or Accessories purchased by you, and
supersede any prior agreement or repr esentations, including representations
made in any literature publicatio ns or promotional materials issued by BINATONE
or representations made by any agent e mployee or staff of BINATONE, that may

Exclusions

Abuse & Misuse. Defects or damage that result from: (a) improper opera tion,
storage, misuse or abuse, accident or neg lect, such as physical damage (cracks,
scratches, etc.) to the surface of the p roduct resulti ng from misuse; (b) contact with
liquid, water, rain, extreme humidity or heavy perspiration, sand, dirt or the like ,

or (d) other acts which a re not the fault of MOTOROLA or BINATONE , are excluded
from coverage.

that result from the use of Non-Motoro la branded or certified Products or
Accessories or other periphera l equipment are excluded f rom coverage.
Unauthorized Service or Modification. Defects or damages resulting from
service, testing, adjustment, install ation, maintenan ce, alterati on, or modification i n
any way by someone other than MOTOROLA , BINATONE or its authorized se rvice
centers, are excluded from coverage.
Altered Products. Prod ucts or Accessories with (a) serial numbe rs or date tags
that have been removed, altered or oblit erated; (b) broken seals or that show
