Follow this guide to setup your device.
MINIX NEO X5 is a revolutionary smart media hub based on a dual-
core ARM Cortex-A9 processor with quad-core Mali-400 GPU and the
latest Android™ 4.0.4 OS. Sign into Google Play Store to download the
favorite applications and install them directly into NEO X5.
YouTube™, Internet radio and lots of other applications are all readily
available on Google Play Store. Alternatively, you could also download
the applications through other third-party stores or to install the .apk les
directly with the ApkInstaller.
MINIX NEO X5 comes with Ethernet, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connection;
you could connect to many of your devices within the same network and
share the contents amongst them, such as videos, music and photos.

IR receiver
Use with the included MINIX remote to control MINIX NEO X5.
Power LED
The LED glows when the MINIX NEO X5 is on.
Power button
To power on MINIX NEO X5, press and hold the power button for 2-3
seconds until the power LED glows. To power off MINIX NEO X5,
press and hold the power button and the display will prompt out the
conrmation dialogue for power off, select OK to conrm; OR hold the
power button for 8 seconds to force power off, the LED will be off.
Earphone jack
Connect to an external audio output device such as earphone or speaker.
Microphone jack
Connect to a microphone for voice input.
SD/MMC card slot
Increase the storage size or read files directly from a SD/MMC card,
support up to 32GB max.

OTG port
Connect the micro end of the micro-USB cable to this port and the other
end to the computer for synchronization and upgrade purpose. This port
also serves as an extra USB port while used with the Micro-USB OTG
cable bundled in the package.
Recover button
This button is to be used together with the OTG port when connecting
to a computer for service/upgrade purpose. Simply press and hold this
button before connecting to the computer’s USB port and release it
once MINIX NEO X5 is powered on.
HDMI port
Connect MINIX NEO X5 to the HDMI port of a high-denition TV or PC
monitor using an HDMI cable.
Optical audio port
Connect to the optical audio input of an external sound processing unit,
such as an amplier.
USB 2.0 ports
Connect an external USB device to MINIX NEO X5 such as USB ash
drive, receiver of wireless keyboard and mouse, USB mouse, receiver
of wireless headset…etc.

ZOOM IN - Allow you to zoom in when an application supports this
function
UP - Move upward
ZOOM OUT - Allow you to zoom out when an application supports
this function
LEFT - Move left
OK - To conrm a particular action, and as an “Enter” key
RIGHT - Move right
SEARCH - Pop up the search interface when an application
supports this function
DOWN - Move downward
MUTE - Mute the system volume
REWIND - Rewind the music or video playing
PLAY/PAUSE - Play or pause the music or video playing
FORWARD - forward the music or video playing
PREVIOUS - Jump to the previous music or video playing
STOP - Stop the music or video playing
NEXT - Jump to the next music or video playing
