vent thedeployment of air bags integrated
intothe seats.
Consequently, theair bags cannot protect
vehicle occupants as they aredesigned to
do. In addition, operation of theautomatic
front passenger air bag shutoffmay be
restricted.

tions of thesensorsinthe door paneling
Sensorstocontrol theairbags arelocated in
thedoors. Modificationsorworknot per‐
formed correctlytothe doorsordoor panel‐
ing, as well as damaged doors, can lead to
thefunction of thesensorsbeing impaired.
The airbags might thereforenot function
properly anymore.
Consequently,the airbags cannotprotect
vehicle occupants as they aredesigned to
do.
