The jack must be placed on a firm, flat and
non-slip surface. If necessary, use a large,
flat, load-bearing, non-slip underlay.

The jack may only be positioned at the jack
support point.
Rules of conduct when the vehicle is raised:

Never place your hands or feet under the
vehicle.
R
Never lie under the vehicle.
R
Do not start the engine and do not release
the electric parking brake.
R
Do not open or close any doors or the rear-
end door.

Using the lug wrench, loosen the wheel bolts
on the wheel you wish to change by about
one full turn. Do not unscrew the bolts com‐
pletely.

WARNING Risk of injury from incorrect
positioning of the jack
If you do not position the jack correctly at
the appropriate jacking point of the vehicle,
the jack could tip with the vehicle raised.

Only position the jack at the appropri‐
ate jacking point of the vehicle. The
base of the jack must be positioned
vertically under the jacking point of the
vehicle.

NOTE Vehicle damage from the jack
If you do not position the jack correctly at
the appropriate jack support point of the
vehicle, the jack could tip over with the vehi‐
cle raised.

The jack is designed exclusively for
jacking up the vehicle at the jack sup‐
port points.
