The üseat belt warning lamp in the Instru-
ment Display is a reminder that all vehicle occu-
pants must wear their seat belts correctly.
The üseat belt warning lamp lights up for six
seconds every time thevehicle is started.
In addition, a warning tone may sound.
When the driver's and front passenger's doors are
closed and the driver and front passenger have
fastened their seat belts, the seat belt warning
goes out.
In thefollowing cases, the seat belt warning lights
up during a journey if:
RThe vehicle speed exceeds 15 mph (25 km/h)
and the driver's or front passenger seat belt is
not fastened.
RThe driver or front passenger unfastens their
seat belt while thevehicle is in motion.
