USING THE APPARATUS
Assembly before use:
• Placethemotorsection(3)onaatsurface,e.g.a
kitchencounter,andmakesureitisstandingrmly
on the four suckers underneath.
• Placethebase(6)onthemotorsectionsothatthe
spout(5)tsintheslotonthesideofthemotor
section.
• Pushthefruitpulpholder(2)upunderthedrain
edge on the base so that it locks on the foot of the
motor unit tightly.
• Carefullylockthecentrifugebowl(7)ontothebase.
oBecarefulnottotouchthesharppartsinthe
bottom of the centrifuge bowl.
o Make sure that the centrifuge bowl sits properly
on its base, so that the gear on the bottom of the
bowl engages the gear in the base.
o Make sure that the centrifuge bowl doesn't sit
too loosely on the base and that it rotates evenly.
• Placethelid(10)ontheappliancesothatitcovers
both the fruit pulp holder and the centrifuge bowl
unit.Makesurethatthelidtstightlyontothebase.
• Turnthelockmechanism(4)totheverticalposition
and make sure that it engages the lid and locks it
fast.Thelockmechanismmakesaclickingsound
when this is done correctly.
• Placeaglass,bowlorothersuitablecontainerunder
the spout.
•Thespoutmustbeinthedownpositiontoletthe
juicerunout
• Theapparatusnowreadyforuse.
Preparing fruits and vegetables for juicing
• Alwayswashfruitsandvegetablesthorouglybefore
juicing.
• Itisnotnecessarytoremoveseeds,pitsorthin
peels before using the appliance.
• Fruitswiththickpeelssuchasorangesandlemons
mustbepeeledbeforejuicing.Itisparticularly
important to remove all the peel (including the
pith), as even small amounts of peel can impart an
unpleasanttastetothejuice.
• Itisalsonecessarytoremovelargepits(such
as plum and apricot pits) to avoid damaging the
appliance.
• Largefruitsandvegetablesshouldbecutinto
piecesthatcantintothefunnel(9).
Use
• Starttheappliancebyturningthe=n/Offbuttonto
position "1" (low speed) or position "2" (high speed).
oThelowspeedsettingissuitableforjuicingsoft
fruits and vegetables.
oThehighspeedsettingissuitableforjuicing
harder fruits and vegetables.
• Feedtheselectedfruitsand/orvegetablesinto
the appliance through the funnel a little at a time,
pushing them down using the tamper (1).
o Make sure that you turn the tamper so that the
grooveinthetampertsintothefunnelproperly.
oLongvegetablessuchascarrotsshouldbefed
intothefunnelpointyendrst.
oPressthefruitsand/orvegetablesgentlywiththe
funnel.Toomuchpresserreducestheamountof
juiceextractedandcandamagetheappliance.
o Stop the appliance before removing the tamper
toaddmorefruit/vegetablesinordertoavoidto
avoid splashes.
• Keepaneyeonthefruitpulpholderandstopjuicing
before the holder becomes too full.
•Placethespoutintheuppositiontostopthejuice
ow.Forexamplewhenyouwishtoemptyor
change bowl.
• Alwaysturnoffthepowerbyturningthe"On/Off"
button to "0" position before taking off the lid.
Please note:Donotleavetheappliancerunningfor
morethan1minutesatatime.Iftheappliancehas
been running for 1 minutes, allow it to cool down before
you use it again.
TIP
• Ifyoulinethefruitpulpholderwithaplastibag
before using the appliance, it will be easier to clean
the appliance.
• Usefreshfruitsandvegetables–theycontainthe
mostjuice.
• Goodcandidatesforjuicingincludepineapple,
apples, cucumbers, celery, carrots, spinach,
melons, tomatoes and most citrus fruits.
• Thevariousvarietiesofappleyieldjuicewith
differentavorsandconsistency.Experimentwith
differentcombinationstondyourownfavorite.
• Leafygreenvegetablessuchascabbageand
spinachcanbejuiced.Rolltheleavesintocylinders
ofanappropriatesizebeforefeedingthemintothe
funnel.
• Fibrousfruitsandvegetablesaswellasthosewith
veryrmeshsuchasbananas,mangoes,papayas
andavocadoesarenotwell-suitedtojuicing,asthe
resultisoftenmashedfruitinsteadofjuice.
• Alltypesofjuiceshouldbeconsumedrightafter
juicing,asfreshjuicequicklyloosesimportant
nutrients when exposed to the oxygen in the air.
Tastecanalsobeaffected.
• Pureapplejuiceturnsbrownquicklywhenexposed
toair.Topreventdiscoloration,serveapplejuice
immediatelyafterjuicingoraddalittlelemonjuice.
• Rememberthatfruitpulpcanbeusedincakes,
vegetablelasagne,mufns,etc.
Storage
• Ensuretheapplianceiscleananddrybeforestoring.
• Theappliancecontainssharpparts-keepoutofthe
reach of children.
