BEFORE FIRST USE:
Wash the rice bowl, the lid, the measuring
cup and the spatula in warm, soapy water.
Rinse and dry thoroughly. Wipe the base
with a clean, damp cloth. Dry thoroughly.
Do not use harsh detergents or abrasive
cleaners on any parts of the appliance.
Never immerse the base in water or any
other liquid.
HOW TO COOK RICE:
Beforeeachuse,makesurethatthe
outside of the rice bowl is clean and dry
and that the heat sensor in the centre,
on the inside of the base, is clean, dry
and cool. Handle the rice bowl carefully.
Scratchingordentingthebowlmayresult
in unsatisfactory performance.
1. Measure rice and water and place evenly
inricebowl.NEVERPUTANYLIQUID
INTOTHEBASE.Thelidhastobeused
during the entire preparation time.
NOTE:Therearedifferingopinionsabout
whether rice should be washed before
cooking.Drieruferriceisobtainedby
washingricerst.
2. Place rice bowl in base and lid on rice
bowl. Make sure the bowl is placed
properly sat onto the base.
3.Plugcordintoa230VoltACoutlet.The
power is now on and remain on while
the appliance is plugged in.
4. Hold the function button down to start
cooking.Attheendofthecooking
phase, it automatically switches to the
“keepwarm”function.Afterabout10
minutesthericewillbecooked.Gently
stir the rice using the spatula provided.
Thericeisnowreadytoserve.
5.Ifthericeistobekeptwarmleavethe
rice cooker plugged in. Reposition the
lidafterhavinguffedtherice.
6.Unplugthericecookerbeforeremoving
lidand rice bowl from the base.
NOTE:Ricemaybekeptwarmforupto5
hours.Tostoptheautomatickeepwarm
cycle, simply unplug from wall outlet.
RICE COOKING CHART:
StandardMeasuringCup Water
For 2 cups of raw rice 3-3,5 cups
For 4 cups of raw rice 5-5,5 cups
For 5 cups of raw rice 6 cups
HELPFUL HINTS:
When using the automatic keep warm
cycle, the rice bowl should contain at least
3 cups ofcooked rice.
CARE AND CLEANING:
Aftereachuse,washthericebowl,thelid,
the measuring cup and the spatula in warm
soapy water. Do not use harsh detergents,
abrasive cleansers or metal scouring pads.
Rinse and dry thoroughly. Wipe the base
withaclean,dampclothanddry.NOTE:If
thericestickstothepotllitwithhotwater
with a mild detergent and let it soak for
about 10 minutes.
