• Keep work areas clean and well lit. Cluttered and dark
areas invite accidents.
• Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres,
such as in the presence of ammable liquids, gases,or
dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the

power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control.
• Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common
sense when operating a power tool. Do not use a
power tool while you are tired or under the inuence of
drugs, alcohol, or medication. A moment of inattention
while operating power tools may result in serious
personal injury.
• Use safety equipment. Always wear eye protection.

safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for
appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries.

Always maintain the power tool in good working order.
Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts,
breakage of parts, or other conditions that would affect
it’s operation. If damaged, have the power tool repaired
before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly
maintained power tools.
• Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly
maintained cutting attachments with sharp cutting
edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control.
• Only use the tool, accessories, and attachments as
described in these instructions. Using the tool for
operations it is not intended for could cause damage to
the tool and hazardous situations. Always consider the
working conditions and the work to be performed.
Have the power tool serviced by a qualied repair
personnel using only manufacturers recommended
replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of
the power tool is maintained.
Always wear adequate protective clothing when
operating the tool to avoid injuries to face, eyes, hands,
feet, head or hearing. Use safety glasses or a face
shield, high boots or sturdy shoes, long trousers, work
gloves, a hard hat and hearing protection.

keep the cutting section away from all parts of the

• Do not expose the appliance to rain. Do not use the
appliance in damp or wet conditions.
Only use the appliance in daylight or good articial light.
• Wear stout shoes or boots to protect your feet. Do not
operate the appliance wearing open-toed sandal or
when barefoot.
• Wear long trousers to protect your legs.
Be sure that the appliance is switched off before
connecting it to the mains supply.
• Stay alert at all times. Watch carefully what you are
doing. Use common sense.
• Do not operate the appliance when you are tired.
• If the appliance begins to vibrate abnormally, switch it
off and remove the plug from the socket. Allow rotating
parts to stop and inspect the appliance for damage and
loose part.
• Never pull the cord to disconnect the plug from the
socket. Keep the cord away from heat, oil and sharp
edges.
• If the main cable becomes damaged during use. Switch
the appliance off and disconnect the plug from the
mains immediately. Do not touch the main cable before
disconnect from the mains.
• Do not allow children or any person unfamiliar with
these instructions to operate the appliance.
• Do not allow children, bystanders or animal to come
near the work area or to touch the appliance or mains
cable.

Assemble
Unpacking
Assembling the housing and handle
Fitting the Guard
Unpack all parts and lay them on a at, stable surface.
Remove all packing materials and shipping devices if applicable.
Make sure the delivery contents are complete and free of any damage. If you nd that
parts are missing or show damage do not use the product but contact the aftersales
helpline within 28 days of purchase. Using an incomplete or damaged product
represents a hazard to people and property.
Ensure that you have all the accessories and tools needed for assembly and
operation. This also includes suitable personal protective equipment.
Assemble the housing into the handle and fully engaged.
Place the guard onto the tool as shown, secure the guard with screws.
Warning! Never use the tool unless the guard is properly tted.

Push the shaft forward, turn the handle to 180°,when trimming near edges and walls.
Warning! Always ensure the handle is locked in a secure. Only adjust to
indicated angle!
Never adjust to an intermediate position.
Hook the mains cable through the cable strain-release.
Connect the plug to the main socket.
