Step 2: Mounting of the radio code keypad
• Choose a place to mount the radio code keypad (see
picture 2). For sectional doors positions A, B or C and for
up-and-over doors only positions B and C are possible.
• Open the cover of the radio code keypad and remove the
cover of battery case.
• Drill two holes into the wall according to the two holes in the
radio code keypad (∆ 1,6 mm).
• Fix the radio code keypad with the 2 enclosed screws 3 x 30
mm to the wall.
• Close the cover of battery case again.
•
Close the cover of the radio code keypad.
Step 3: Use of the radio code keypad
Open and close a garage door
• Type in the 4-digit PIN (programmed as written in step 1)
and then press the ENTER button. The garage door starts to
move.
• The radio code keypad is still active and the keypad lighting
is flashing for approx. 18 sec. after the ENTER button has
been pressed. During this time period the garage door can
be stopped when pressing any of the buttons (except the
LIGHT button).
• For certain garage door operators it may be necessary to hold
a button to operate your garage door (please look up further
details in the installation and operating instructions of your
door operator). In this case please type in the 4-digit PIN,
press the ENTER button and hold it. The garage door moves
as long as the ENTER button is pressed.
Advice: If an invalid PIN is typed in three times in succession,
the radio code keypad goes off automatically in order to
prevent misuse. After two minutes the radio code keypad can
be used again.
Save more than one code for more than one garage door
operator
• The radio code keypad can be used to actuate up to three
different garage door operators with different codes each.
• The learning of the three different multibit codes is carried
out as written in step 1, with one exception: For every code
a different PIN has to be typed in, that means, every code
needs its own PIN.
• To open or close a certain door with the radio code keypad,
only the corresponding PIN has to be typed in and then the
ENTER button has to be pressed.
Enter more than one PIN for the same code
• It is possible to program up to three different PIN's for the
same code to be used by different persons.
• Every single PIN is entered and the respective code is learned
as written in step 1. Repeat this procedure for every PIN using
the same transmitter. So the same code is saved under three
different PIN's.
Save a temporary PIN
• It is possible to save a temporary PIN, which only allows three
times use.
• Push "button 1" on the keypad and hold it for 3 sec.
• The keypad lighting flashes quickly for 5 sec. In this time
period the actual PIN has to be typed in and the ENTER button
has to be pressed.
• Type in a 4-digit temporary PIN of your choice and then press
the ENTER button.
• The keypad lighting glows for 2 sec, then the radio code
keypad switches off and the LED's go out.
• Now the radio code keypad is again ready for function.
• To use the radio code keypad with the new temporary PIN,
type in this 4-digit temporary PIN and press the ENTER button.
The temporary PIN can only be used three times, then it is
automatically invalid.
Save a code for light function
• If a universal receiver, e.g. to switch on / off the yard light,
is used, program as written in step 1, but actuate the LIGHT
button instead of PIN.
Change the PIN
• Press "button 0" on the keypad and hold it for 3 sec.
• The keypad lighting flashes quickly for 5 sec. In this time
period type in the PIN which is to be changed and press then
the ENTER button.
• Type in the new 4-digit PIN and press then the ENTER button.
• The keypad lighting glows for 2 sec., then the radio code
keypad switches off.
• Now the radio code keypad is again ready for function (the old
PIN is no longer valid).
