Smartmainbeamsystemservesonlyasan
auxiliaryfunction.Thedriverstillneedsto
checkthestatusofthefrontlamps,andturn
onthefrontlampswhennecessary.
Forexample:Themainbeammaynotbe
turnedoffautomaticallyinthefollowing
cases,thusthemanualswitchingbetween
themainbeamanddippedbeamisrequired:
Thewindscreenisdirty,brokenor
obstructedbyotherobjectsblockingthe
viewofthesensor.
Thelampsofothervehiclesaremissing,
damaged,blockedorpartiallyblocked
orcannotbedetectedforsomeother
reasons.
Thelampsofothervehiclesareobscured
orpartiallyobscuredbysmoke,fog,snow,
watersprayoranyotherconditionsthat
effectvisibility.
Whenpedestrians,non-motorvehicles
andotherobjectswithnoobviouslightor
reectedlightareencountered.
Whentheheadlampsandtaillampsof
othervehiclescannotbedetecteddueto
thesensorviewisimpaireddueundulating
roadconditionssuchasbends,dipsorhills.
Whenthecarisdrivingonthewinding
roadormountainousroad.
Incasesofanyoftheaboveconditions(but
notlimitedto)smartmainbeamoperation
maybesuspended,itmaybenecessaryto
operatethemainbeamlampsmanually.
Thesmartmainbeamsystemusesthefrontviewcamera
todetectthelightintensityofthevehicleahead.Themain
beamlampscanbeswitchedonoroffautomaticallyby
thesystemwhenthesurroundingsaredarkandnolight
detected.
T oenablethesmartmainbeamsystem,thefollowing
conditionsshouldbemet:

Thesystemwilltemporarilysuspendthesmartmainbeam
functiononcethefollowingconditionsaremet:
Withthesmartmainbeamsystemenabled,instantaneously
pullthelightinglevertowardsthesteeringwheel,the
smartmainbeamfunctionwillbetemporarilysuspended,
itwillautomaticallybere-instatedwhentheswitchlever
isreleased.
Note:Continuouslyoperatingthemainbeamswitch
within2secondswillretainthemainbeamlamps
underautomaticcontrol,andthesystemwillnotexit
thesmartmainbeamfunction.
IMPORTANT
Thesmartmainbeamfunctionusesdatafromthefront
viewcamera,alwayskeepthewindscreencleanand
freefromresidueinthisareatomaintainoptimum
performanceofthissystem.Anydamageinthisarea,
suchasstonechipsmustberepairedattheearliest
convenience.
