instructions carefully. They tell you
how to set up the system correctly
and explain all the system’s features
to you.
Operating principle
The Portable Radio Receiver receives
the signals from various radio trans-
mitters.
It converts these signals into vibra-
ting pulses. In addition, 6 indicator
lamps help you to different identify
signals.

Controls
Indicator lamps: The 6 indicator
lamps help you to differentiate bet-
ween the individual transmitter sig-
nals. They light for a total of 40 se-
conds.
Flat battery indicator: The LED flas-
hes to display that the battery is
nearly flat. You need to fit a new
battery.
Reset button: When you feel the
Portable Radio Receiver vibrating,
you can switch off its vibration func-
tion using the reset button on the
receiver. The indicator lamps light
and go out automatically after a
total of 40 seconds.
Furthermore, you can press the ack-
nowledge button to call up the most
recent signal again (the function
works for up to 3 minutes after re-
ceipt of the signal).
Belt clip: You can use the belt clip to
attach the Portable Radio Receiver
to your clothing.
On/off switch: This switch turns the
Portable Radio Receiver on and off.
Channel selector: You can select the
radio channel using the channel se-
lector.
Setting up the system –
1. Inserting the battery
There is a battery compartment on
the underside of the portable radio
receiver. Open it by sliding the cover
of the battery compartment away
from the receiver using both your
thumbs. Insert two 1.5 V AAA batte-
ries and close the receiver again.
