Note:
The appliance is fitted with a safety mechanism
which prevents the lid being opened q should
there still be steam in the boiler t.
• Remove the plug from the wall socket.
• Press the steam switch
w
until the steam in the
boiler
t
has been completely released.
• Turn the lid
q
on the boiler
t
and remove it.
• Fill the appliance with a maximum of 320ml of
cold water using the measuring beaker
s
and
funnel
d
.
Caution:
Do not overfill the appliance. Excessive
pressure can result if filled with too much water.
The appliance could become damaged!
• Replace the lid,
q
securing it handtight.
Heating Up
When the boiler is filled with water and the lid
q
is
firmly closed:
• Place the appliance on a tilt-safe even surface and
insert the plug into a power socket.
• The control lamp
r
glows. After ca. 5 min. the
control lamp
r
extinguishes and the appliance is
ready for use.
Cleaning with Steam
Warning:
ALWAYS hold the device upright during use –
never tilt the appliance to an angle greater
than about 45 degrees (in any direction).
Hot water could drip out and cause scalds.
• Aim the accessory at the area to be cleaned...
• First at a distance of about 20cm.
• Press the steam switch
w
. Steam now exits
through the nozzle.
• You may now advance as close to the area to
be be cleaned as the material itself can tolerate
steam.
• Wipe away any possible water residues with a dry
cloth.
Take note:
Should the steam power diminish, it is an
indication that the steam in the boiler t has
all been used. The control lamp r glows. Wait
until the control lamp r extinguishes again.
Should no more steam come from the nozzle
after a short period, the water has been com-
pletely used up. Refill the appliance with water.
