Messobjektes bestimmen, müssen Sie den MetalliFinder
jeweils von links und rechts auf das Objekt zubewegen.
Markieren Sie die Stellen Links (L) und Rechts (R) des
Objektes mit maximaler Signalstärke:
• Metall: bei minimaler Messtiefe (9)
• AC: bei maximaler Anzeige (9)
Zwischen den beiden Markierungen befindet sich das
eigentliche Zentrum (M) des Messobjektes:

Garantieerklärung:
Die Garantiezeit beträgt 2 Jahre ab Kaufdatum. Von der
Garantie sind ausgenommen: Schäden, die auf unsach-
gemäßen Gebrauch oder falscher Lagerung zurück-
zuführen sind, normaler Verschleiß und Mängel, die den
Wert oder die Gebrauchstauglichkeit nur unerheblich
beeinflussen. Bei Eingriffen nicht von uns authorisierter
Stellen erlischt die Garantie. Im Garantiefall geben Sie bitte
das vollständige Gerät mit allen Informationen, sowie
Rechnung einem unserer Händler oder senden Sie es an
Umarex-Laserliner.

echselspannungs-Suche AC (siehe Beschreibung B):
Drücken Sie die Taste AC (d.), um die Wechselspannungs-
Suche einzuschalten. Bei aktivierter Wechselspannungs-
Suche erscheint das Symbol AC (1.) in der Anzeige.
3. Kalibrierung:
Drücken Sie die Taste AC (d.) oder CAL (e.), um das Gerät
in dem jeweiligen Modus automatisch zu kalibrieren. Dabei
erscheint für ca. 2 sec. das Symbol CAL (5.) in der Anzeige.
Nach erfolgreicher Kalibrierung wird das Symbol PRET (6.)
angezeigt, sollte ein Fehler aufgetreten sein wird das mit
dem Symbol ERREUR (7.) angezeigt.
Tipp 1: Kalibrierfehler: Wenn die Kalibrierung fehlschlägt
wurde das Gerät vermutlich direkt über dem Messobjekt
platziert, versuchen Sie das Gerät an einer anderen Stelle
erneut zu kalibrieren.
4. Ausschalten:
Ein erneutes Drücken der Tasten (d.) oder (e.) schaltet den
jeweiligen Messmodus wieder aus. Das Gerät schaltet sich
ca. 2 Minuten nach der letzten Messung automatisch aus.
Tipp 2: Messfehler: Um Fehlmessungen zu Vermeiden
sollte der MetalliFinder während der Messung immer auf
der Messoberfläche aufliegen.
Tipp3: Markierhilfe: Die Markierhilfe (a.) dient zum
Anvisieren und Markieren des gefundenen Messpunktes.
Nach einer Messung kann hier z.B. mit einem Bleistift eine
Markierung auf der Messoberfläche gesetzt werden.
Messungen
A. Metall-Suche, Tiefenmessung (AMS):
Die Metall-Suche unterscheidet drei verschiedene Mess-
arten, welche jeweils auf das zu messende Material
optimiert wurden. Wählen Sie mit dem Auswahlschalter
AMS (f.) die gewünschte Messart aus:
Stahlbeton, Eisenrohre, Kupferrohre
Zusätzlich wird die Auswahl im Display mit den Symbolen
2.) bis 4.) angezeigt.
Nach erfolgreicher Kalibrierung wird bei der Annäherung
an Metall die Tiefenanzeige 9.) wie folgt angesteuert:

Inbetriebnahme
1. Batteriewechsel:
Öffnen Sie das Batteriefach auf der Rückseite der Gerätes,
und schliessen Sie eine neue 9V Batterie (Typ 6LR 61) an.
Wenn das Symbol 8.) in der Anzeige erscheint sollten Sie
baldmöglichst die Batterien ersetzen.
2. Einschalten und Messen:
Der MetalliFinder kann Metalle bis zu einer Tiefe von
75mm vermessen, sowie spannungsführende Leitungen
lokalisieren. Die beiden Messmodi Wechselspannungs-
Suche und Metall-Suche können einzeln oder gemeinsam
aktiviert und betrieben werden.
Metall-Suche (siehe Beschr
eibung A):
Drücken Sie die Taste CAL (e.), oder wechseln Sie die
Auswahl des Schiebeschalters (f.) , um die Metall-Suche
einzuschalten. Bei aktiver Metall-Suche erscheint das
Symbol für die aktuelle Messart (2. - 4.) in der Anzeige.
Die Metallerkennung beginnt bei ca. 75mm Abstand.
Dieser Messwert verringert sich bei weiterer Annäherung,
bis sich das Gerät direkt über dem Metallobjekt befindet.
Dort wird der Abstand zum Metall, also die Messtiefe,
angezeigt, (z.B. ca. 25mm). Zusätzlich leuchtet die LED
'Metall gefunden' (c.) und es ertönt ein akustisches Signal.
B. Wechselspannungs-Suche (AC):
Betrieb ohne Metall-Suche:
Wird die Wechselspannungs-Suche einzeln betrieben,
können spannungsführende Leitungen lokalisiert werden.
In der Anzeige (9.) und mit der LED 'AC gefunden' (b.)
kann durch die Signalstärke eine Anäherung an die Leitung
abgeschätzt werden:
Messungen
Betrieb gemeinsam mit Metall-Suche:
Werden beide Messmodi zusammen benutzt, wird die Bal-
kenanzeige (9.) zur Tiefenmessung bei der Metall-Suche
verwendet. Die Wechselstrom-Suche AC wird dann nur
über die LED 'AC gefunden' (b.) und den Warnton
signalisiert. Bei Annäherung an eine spannungsführende
Leitung wird die LED (b.) zunächst blinken, und dann bei
weiterer Annäherung konstant leuchten, zusätzlich wird
ein akustischer Warnton ertönen.
Tipp 4: Lokalisieren von Metall und Leitungen:
Normalerweise misst der MetalliFinder durch seine hohe
Empfindlichkeit in einem breiterem Einzugsbereich auf der
Messoberfläche. Wollen Sie das eigentliche Zentrum des

The warranty is valid for 2 years from the date of purchase.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by improper
use or storage, normal wear and tear, or defects which
only insignificantly impair the value of the product or its
functioning. Any tampering by unauthorised persons will
render this warranty void. In the event that you need to
claim warranty, please take the complete device together
with all information and the invoice to one of our dealers
or send it in to UMAREX-Laserliner.
Press the AC button (d.) in order to activate AC Search.
When AC Search is activated, the AC symbol (1.) appears
in the display.
3. Calibration: Press the AC (d.) or CAL (e.) button to
automatically calibrate the tool in the selected mode. The
CAL (5.) symbol appears for about 2 secs. in the display.
When calibration has been successfully completed, the
symbol PRET (6.) is displayed, if an error has occurred, this
is indicated by the symbol ERREUR (7.).
Tip 1: Calibration error: If calibration is unsuccessful, this is
probably because the tool is located directly above an
object of the kind being searched for. Move the device to a
different position on the surface and try calibrating once
more.
4. Switching-off: Press button (d.) or (e.) again in order to
deactivate the currently selected mode. The tool
automatically switches off about 2 minutes after the last
search operation.
Tip 2: Detection error: To avoid detection errors, the
MetalliFinder should be kept in contact with the relevant
surface throughout the detection process.
Tip3: Marking aid: The marking aid (a.) is used for
targeting and marking the detection point. After detection,
a mark can be made at the relevant point on the surface,
e.g. with a pencil.
Measuring
A. Metal Search, Depth Measurement (AMS):
Metal Search offers three different detection modes which
are optimised for the different materials concerned. Select
the desired mode using the selection switch (f.):
Structural steel, Iron pipes, Copper pipes
The selection is also indicated in the display by the symbols
2.) to 4.).
After successful calibration, the depth display 9.) indicates
as follows as metal is approached:
Metal detection begins at a distance of about 75mm. The
indicated value lessens as the tool approaches further, until
it is located directly above the metal object. In this
position, the distance to the metal object, i.e. the depth, is

Operation
1. Battery exchange:
Open the battery compartment on the back of the tool
and connect up a new 9V battery (type 6LR 61). If the
symbol 8.) appears in the display, you should replace the
battery as soon as possible.
2. Switching-on and detection:
The MetalliFinder can detect metals up to a depth of
75mm and also localise live wires. The two detection
modes “AC Search” and “Metal Search” can be activated
and operated either individually or together.
Metal Sear
ch (see Description A):
Press the CAL button (e.), or change the setting on the
sliding selector switch (f.) in order to activate Metal Search.
When Metal Search is activated, the symbol for the
selected mode (2. - 4.) appears in the display.
AC Sear
ch AC (see Description B):
displayed (e.g. about 25mm). Additionally, the LED 'Metal
found' (c.) lights up and an acoustic signal is emitted.
B. AC Search (AC):
Operation without Metal Search:
IF AC Search is operated individually, live wires can be
localised. With the display (9.) and the LED 'AC found' (b.),
the distance to the wire can be estimated by the signal
intensity:
Measuring
Operation together with Metal Search:
If both modes are used together, the bar display (9.) is
used for Metal Search depth measurement. The AC Search
is only indicated by the LED 'AC found' (b.) and the
acoustic warning signal. As the tool approaches a live wire,
the LED (b.) first of all blinks and then, as the distance
lessens, lights up continuously. An acoustic warning signal
is additionally emitted.
Tip 4: Localisation of metal and live wires: Because of
its high sensitivity, the MetalliFinder can normally detect
objects in a broad radius beneath the relevant surface. If
you want to determine the actual centre of the hidden
object, you must move the MetalliFinder from both left
and right towards the object.
Mark the positions on the left (L) and right (R) side of the
object where the signal reaches maximum intensity:
