9.11 Indirect measurements
▪ Indirect measurement key (6): press short to respectively enter single Pythagorean mode
(fig.11), double Pythagorean plus mode (fig.12) and double Pythagorean minus mode
(fig.13).
▪ Press measuring key (1) to begin corresponding measuring operation.
▪ Note: measurements of the perpendicular sides need to be accurate to avoid varying
results.
9.12 Measuring the distance between two points on vertical plane (fig.14)
▪ Press short on indirect measurement key (6).
▪ Press measuring key (1) to begin corresponding measuring operation.
▪ Note: in order to conduct an accurate measurement, the reference point cannot be
changed.
9.13 Measuring the horizontal and vertical distance (fig.15)
▪ Indirect measurements can be conducted by measuring the hypotenuse and automatic
angle. The measurement results are displayed on the screen for the vertical height and
horizontal distance.
▪ Press short on indirect measurement key (6).
▪ Press measuring key (1) to begin corresponding measuring operation.
▪ Note: during a measurement, select the measurement reference. The measurement result
is the result from the reference position.
▪ Note: measurements of the perpendicular sides need to be accurate to avoid varying

9.14 Addition measurement
▪ Press key 5 to enter addition operation measurement mode. The addition icon (+) will be
displayed.
▪ Press key 1 again to make a single measurement, continue to make a single
measurement. The cumulative value of the two measurements will be displayed at the
most downtrend of the display screen. Keep doing as many single measurements as
needed.
▪ The measurements of n times have always been cumulative and displayed on the most
downtrend of the display screen.
9.15 Subtraction measurement
▪ Press key 5 to enter subtraction operation measurement mode. The subtraction icon (-)
will be displayed.
▪ Press key 1 again to make a single measurement, continue to make a single
measurement. The cumulative value of the two measurements will be displayed at the
most downtrend of the display screen. Keep doing as many single measurements as
needed.
▪ The measurements of n times have always been cumulative and displayed on the most
downtrend of the display screen.
