FOCUS LOCK
Center your subject in the wide focus
frame, then press the shutter-release
button partway down to lock focus (1).
The focus is locked when focus signal
appears in the viewfinder. If the signal
blinks, the camera was unable to
focus; repeat the procedure.
The exposure is locked with focus.
Releasing the shutter button cancels
focus lock.
Continue to hold the shutter-release
button partway down and compose the
picture.
Press the shutter-release button all the
way down (2) to take the picture.
Focus-lock is used for off-center subjects outside the focus frame.
Focus lock can also be used when a special focusing situation
prevents the camera from focusing by allowing the camera to be
focused on a object at the same distance as the subject.
