Mounting
The described units are only designed for installation of satellite receiving systems.
Any other use or the non-observance of the user guides will result in the loss of warranty.
The Sat IF distribution system must only be installed in dry rooms. Do not install on or next to easily
inflammable material. For heat dissipation, the air must be able to circulate.
The units must be grounded with a grounding wire (copper wire of at least 4 mm).
Attention! The safety requirements acc. to EN 50083-1 and EN 60065 (latest edition) must be observed.
Mounting: Preferably wall mounted
Mounting material: Wood screws max. 4 mm Ø
Connectors: Screw-on plugs 75 Ω (series F) acc. to IEC 60169-24
Admissible diameter of cable's centre conductor: 0.6 to 1.2 mm, free from burr
Attention: Cable centre conductors with a diameter larger than 1.2 mm or burr
can damage the connection points of the unit.
The end-line switching matrix (EXR 508, order no. 20510002) can supply power to the entire system, due to the low
power consumption of the distribution amplifier.
For larger systems, it is recommended to split the cascade into several distribution lines, e.g. with the Sat IF splitter
EBX 520, order no. 273292.
To compensate distribution and cable loss, the matrix/distribution amplifier VWS 500, order no. 230645, can be used.
The matrix can be quickly and easily mounted with a clip-on mounting set and the 5-way connection element.
