5. Manual time synchronisation / transmitter call
Apart from automatic synchronisation using the DCF 77 time signal
transmitter, manual synchronisation – the so-called transmitter call – is also
possible.
To do this, press the T1 button for more than 3 seconds (use a suitable
pointed tool). The hands start running and stop at the 12 o'clock position. The
dot in the LC display will start flashing.
Instead of the date, the LC displays the seconds in digital form [00]. While the
signal is being received, please keep your watch still or put it down.
Given good reception, the hands will automatically move to the correct time.
You can interrupt manual synchronisation prematurely as soon as the
second hand is at the 12.00 position. Simply press the T1 button briefly. The
second hand will then return to the original time.
Please note that manual synchronisation is not possible if the battery
voltage is too low.
6. Readiness for reception / transmitter call
Transmitter calls are no longer possible if the time zone settings differ by
more than ± 1 hour from Central European Time (CET) or Central European
Summer Time (CEST), as your radio-controlled watch might be outside the
transmitter range.
7. Setting the date
The date is always set automatically by the time signal and takes the 29th
February into account in leap years.
