• make sure the machine is pressurized (see paragraph 4.1)
• place a container under the steam/ hot water nozzle (11)
• turn the steam/hot water tap knob (10) counter-clockwise *
• press the coee switch (3). Hot water at about 95°C will come out of the bottom of the steam/
hot water nozzle (11)
• turn the steam/hot water nozzle (10) clockwise *
• press the coee switch (3) again when you have enough hot water
4.4 Distribution of steam
! Always make sure the tank is full of water
! Never place your hands or other parts of the body in the path of the water/steam nozzle. Hot
water and steam can cause serious burns
• make sure the machine is pressurized (see paragraph 4.1)
• place a container under the steam/ hot water nozzle (11)
• press the steam switch (5). The steam light (6) and the coee light (4) will both light up toge-
ther
• wait about 30 seconds
• immerse the water/steam nozzle (11) in the liquid to be heated
• turn the knob on the steam/hot water tap (10) counter-clockwise *
• steam will come out of the bottom of the steam/hot water nozzle (11)
• heat the liquid with the steam
• turn the knob on the steam/hot water tap (10) clockwise * to stop the steam
• press the steam switch again (5).
! Do not forget to turn the steam switch (5) o after using the steam function. If it does not
work this will be signaled by the steam light that stays lit (6)
Repeat the operations indicated in paragraph 4.1 to rell the water tank
• place a container under the steam/ hot water nozzle (11)
• turn the knob on the steam/hot water tap (10) counter-clockwise *
• press the coee switch (3). Water will come out of the water/steam nozzle (11)
• press the coee switch again (3)
• turn the water/steam knob (10) clockwise * to close the tap
• wait about 3-4 minutes until the machine is pressurized and the coee light (4) goes o
5. RECOMMENDATIONS AND SUGGESTIONS
To enjoy excellent coee:
o purchase a good brand of coee in beans
o keep the coee in beans in a dry place
o grind the coee beans fresh when you make coee
o measure and press the ground coee slightly to pack it more uniformly
For boiling hot coee:
o leave the lter holder with the empty lter in the coee distribution unit at all times
o rinse the lter holder and lter with boiling hot water by pressing the coee switch
o use the same boiling water to pre-heat the cups
For a delicious cappuccino:
o use a tall narrow milk pitcher half full
o immerse the steam/hot water nozzle 1 cm into the milk
o open the tap with the knob
o the milk will be covered with a creamy froth
If you just want to heat the milk:
o immerse the steam/hot water nozzle all the way into the milk
o open the steam/hot water tap with the knob
o close the tap when the milk is hot enough
6. ROUTINE MAINTENANCE
! Before performing any routine maintenance make sure the machine is unplugged, without
pulling the power cable, or that the main circuit breaker is o
! do not use detergents or abrasive substances to clean the machine
To ensure good upkeep of the DIAMANTINA machine we recommend cleaning it every day:
o clean the water tank regularly
o change the water in the tank frequently if the machine is only used occasionally
o remove the residues of coee by soaking the lters in hot water
o clean the drip tray and cup rack with hot water
o clean the steam/hot water nozzle to prevent obstruction of the holes in the end
o clean the structure and all the external parts of the machine with a damp cloth. Dry with a dry
cloth to remove any halo and shine the machine
o clean the funnel (bottom part of the coee distribution unit) to remove all residues of coee with
a damp cloth and run water through it by pressing the
coee switch
7. INVALIDATION OF THE WARRANTY
The warranty will be invalidated and the manufacturer will not accept liability for any damage due
to failure to follow the instructions in this manual.
For operations other than those described contact a qualied service center or the manufacturer.
Use of the machine in any other way than as contemplated in the instructions will relieve ISOMAC
and all sales outlets of any liability for damage to persons or property. ISOMAC assures the user of
full collaboration for any clarication necessary.
