also recommend that you keep the instructions for future
reference, so that you can remind yourself of the functions
of your appliance.

• Incorrectuseofthisappliancemaycausepersonal

notresponsibleforanyinjuryordamageresultingfrom
incorrect use or handling (see also Guarantee Terms).
• Theapplianceanditsspecicationsmaynotbe
modiedasthiscouldcausepersonalinjuryand
damage to the appliance itself. The appliance meets
theEUlow-voltagedirective(73/23/EF)andtheEMC
directive (89/336/EF).
• Fordomesticuseonly.Notforoutdoororcommercial
use.
• Forconnectionto230V,50Hzonly.
• Donotimmersetheappliance,cordorpluginwater
and make sure no water enters the appliance.
• Nevertouchtheappliance,cordorplugwithwetor
damp hands.
• Donotexposetodirectsunlight,hightemperatures,
humidity, dust or corrosive substances.
• Neverallowchildrentoplaywiththetemperature
regulator button or the appliance itself.
• Theapplianceisnottobeusedbypersonswith
reduced sensitivity, physical or mental disabilities or
persons who are unable to use the appliance, unless
supervised or instructed by a person responsible for
their safety.
Installing the appliance
• Takecarewhenmovingtheappliance.Itisveryheavy.
• Donotliftorcarrytheappliancebythehandleonthe
door, or by the compressor and condensator at the
rear of the appliance.
• Donottiptheapplianceatanangleofmorethan45º
when moving. Avoid knocks and bumps.
• Anyelectricalworkrequiredinconnectionwiththe
installation of this appliance should be carried out by a
qualiedelectrician.
• Theappliancemustnotbeinstalledclosetosources
ofheat,hotobjects,openre,gasringsorelectrical
hotplates.
• Placetheapplianceonaat,levelsurfacethatis
strong enough to bear the weight of the appliance.
• Makecertainthattheappliancedoesnotrestonthe
cord.
• Theapplianceshouldbeplacedwiththerearside
against a wall.
• Theremustbeclearanceofatleast50mmfromthe
top of the appliance and 25 mm to each side of the
appliancetoensuresufcientventilation.
• Donotobstructtheventilationslotsintheappliance’s
cabinet or in the built-in cupboard (if applicable).
• Partsthatbecomehotmustnotbeexposed.
• Thecoolantsystemmustnotbetamperedwith.Take
carewhencheckingormaintainingtheappliance:the
coolant is combustible and corrosive.
• Afterinstallation,allowtheappliancetostandfor2
hours before switching it on, to allow the coolant to
settle.
Use
• Theappliancestoresupto72litres.Actualcapacity
will depend on the size and shape of your produce and
how you pack it into the appliance.
• Theapplianceisintendedforuseatambient
temperature16ºC–32ºC.Iftheambienttemperature
is outside this interval, the appliance will not function
correctly.
• Iftheambienttemperatireistoowarmforalonger
period of time, the temperature inside the appliance
willexceed-18ºC,whichmaymeanthatfoodproduce
may spoil/rot.
• Asarule,frozenfoodsmustneverberefrozenafter
thawing(seebelow:Inadvertentthawingduetopower
failure).
• Neverstoreaeratedbeveragesintheapplianceas
bottles can explode, causing damage to the appliance.
• Neverremovefrozenproducefromtheappliance
if your hands are wet or damp, as there is a risk of
frostbite.
• Neveruseelectricalappliancesinsidetheappliance.
• Neverusemechanicaltoolstoacceleratethede-icing
process.Useonlythemethodsdescribedinthese
instructions,inaccordancewiththemanufacturer’s
recommendations.
• Neverscrapeiceusingasharpinstrumentasthismay
damage the inside surfaces of the appliance.
• Neverinsertanythingintotheventilationslotsorother
openings.
• Iftheapplianceisnotinuseforanylengthoftime,it
mustbeemptiedcompletely.Switchofftheappliance
andremovetheplugfromthewallsocket.De-iceand
clean the appliance as described below and leave
the door open to avoid odours forming inside the
appliance.
Cord and plug
• Switchtheapparatusoffandremovetheplugfromthe
wall socket before cleaning, de-icing or maintenance.
Avoid pulling the cord when removing the plug from
the socket. Instead, hold the plug. When the appliance
has been switched off, always wait at least 5 minutes
before reconnecting.
• Checkregularlythatneithercordnorplugisdamaged.
Donotuseiftheyaredamagedoriftheappliancehas
been dropped or damaged in any other way.
• Ifeithertheappliance,cordorplughasbeendamaged,
have the appliance inspected and if necessary repaired
by an authorised repairer. Always use authorised spare
parts. Never try to repair the appliance yourself. Please
contact the store where you bought the appliance
forrepairsundertheguarantee.Unauthorisedrepairs
ormodicationstotheappliancewillinvalidatethe
guarantee.
