This guide introduces you to the features and functions of your new phone.

Inserting a SIM/USIM card
Your phone supports only SIM/USIM cards. Other sizes may not work
properly. Contact your service provider to replace your current card or
purchase a new one. Power off your phone before installing or removing
the SIM/USIM card.
The dimensions of a standard SIM/USIM card are 25 mm x 15 mm (0.98 in.
x 0.59 in.).
When your phone is powered off, press and hold to
power it on.
From any screens, press to turn on or off the screen.
When the screen is turned on, press and hold
to display
an option menu.
Touch to return to the previous screen or exit the current
application.
When you are entering text, touch
to hide the onscreen
keyboard.
Touch to return to the home screen.

Inserting a microSD card
You can expand your phone's storage capacity with a microSD card. Follow
the operations in the figure below to install a microSD card.
To remove a microSD card:

2. Align the battery's metal contacts with those at the bottom of the battery
compartment, and press the other end of the battery to clip it into the
battery compartment.

Charging the battery
Use the provided USB cable and power adapter to connect your phone to a
power outlet, or use the USB cable to connect your phone to a computer.

Battery indicator
The battery indicator shows your phone's battery level.
• Blinking red: The battery level is lower than 10%.
• Steady red (when charging): The battery level is lower than 10%.
• Steady yellow (when charging): The battery level is higher than 10%.
• Steady green (when charging): The battery is almost or already full.
Important information about the battery
If the battery power is depleted, you may not be able to power on your
phone immediately after you begin charging the battery. This is normal.
Allow the battery to charge for a few minutes before attempting to power
on your phone.
Rechargeable batteries have a limited number
of charge cycles and may
eventually need to be replaced. When the battery life becomes noticeably
shorter, replace the battery.
The time required to fully charge the batter
y depends on the ambient
temperature and the age of the battery.
If your phone is very low on power,
it plays
an alert tone and displays a
message. If the battery level is extremely low, your phone automatically
powers off.

Dual-card management
Your phone supports dual card dual standby mode. You can use one card
for your personal life and one card for work.
Enabling or disabling a SIM/USIM card
You can install two SIM/USIM cards on your phone and use one or both of
them at the same time. When you do not need to use a SIM/USIM card,
disable it.

Touch

and hold an application, widget, or blank area to
display the related option menu.
Flick
: Where applicable, swipe your finger in the
direction you want the screen to move. For example,
you can flick left or right across the notification panel
to dismiss a notification.
Drag
: Touch and hold an item and then move it to
another position. For example, you can re-arrange
applications and widgets on the home screen this
way.
Pinch
: Pinch two fingers together to zoom out or
stretch them apart to zoom in. For example, pinch
together or apart to zoom in or out on a picture or
web page.

Locking and unlocking the screen
Locking the screen not only prevents your phone from carrying out
undesirable operations when you are not using it, but also protects it from
unauthorized use. You can lock and unlock your screen in a number of ways.
The pre-installed screen unlock method is used as an example in this
section.
Locking the screen
Method 1: Press to lock the screen.
Method 2: After being idle for a specified period of time, your phone
automatically locks its screen.
To set the screen lock method, touch on the home screen. Then

Getting to know your home screen
Your home screens are where you'll find your favorite widgets and all your
applications. We did away with the application list to give you a more
convenient and direct path to your applications. The default home screen is
shown below.
Status icons
Status bar: displays notifications and icons. Flick down from the
status bar to open the notification panel.
Display area: displays application icons, folders, and widgets.

Pinch two fingers together to display the home screen thumbnails. Touch
a thumbnail to enter that particular home screen.
Taking a screenshot
Want to share an interesting scene in a movie or show off your new high
score in a game? Take a screenshot and share away.
Press and the volume down button simultaneously to take a
screenshot. Then, open the notification panel and touch to share
the
screenshot. Screenshots are saved to the
Screenshots
album in
Gallery
.
Auto-rotate screen
Your phone features a tilt sensor. If you rotate your phone when browsing a
web page or viewing a photo, the orientation of your screen will automatically
change to landscape or portrait view. You'll also be able to enjoy tilt sensor-
based applications, such as racing games.

Starting applications and switching between them
On the home screen, touch an application icon to open it.
To switch to another application, touch to return to the home screen,
and touch the icon of the application you wish to open.
Viewing recently used applications
To display the list of recently used applications, touch and hold . You
can then:
• Touch an application to start it.
• Flick left or right across an application to dismiss it.
• Touch to clear the list.
Texting
Your phone comes with multiple text input methods. You can quickly enter
text using the onscreen keyboard.

Deleting an application icon or widget
On the home screen, touch and hold the application icon or widget you wish
to delete until is displayed. Drag the unwanted application icon or
widget to to delete it.
Deleting an application icon uninstalls the application. When you delete
an application icon, your phone prompts you to confirm the action.

You can re-arrange application icons and widgets to any fitting empty space

Me Widget
is a collage of popular widget units that is displayed on your
home screen for your added convenience. They include contacts, music,
clock, and weather.
Removing a widget unit
1. Touch and hold Me Widget until your phone vibrates. Release your finger.

Smart dialing
In addition to standard call procedures, smart dialing lets you quickly find
contacts by entering parts of their names or numbers.
1. On the home screen, touch .
2. Enter a phone number or the initials or first se
veral letters of a contact
name.
Matching contacts in your phone and phone numbers in your call log are
then displayed in a list.
3. From the list, select the
contact you wish to call.

end the call, touch .
On the messaging, contacts, or dialer screen, you can open the

• Share multimedia files with your friends.
• Access multimedia files on other DLNA devices.
• Play multimedia files on other devices and control the playback.
Before you use DLNA, make sure that your phone and other DLNA
devices have connected to the same Wi-Fi network and DLNA is
enabled on all devices.

    • Bekend probleem heeft er mee te maken dat de G700 geen updates meer krijg. Bij de een speelt dit een probleem en bij de ander start de telefoon automatisch aan en uit wat weer met facebook te maken heeft die ook afhankelijk is van een update van huawei. Echter huawei komt niet meer met een update voor de G700 wat min of meer betekent dat je toe bent aan een nieuwe mobiel. Geantwoord op 2-3-2017 om 20:05

  • Ja heb facebook terug erop gezet tot 3 keer toe weer het oude liedje schakelde zich weer uit zich zelfuit en starte vervolgens opnieuw op. Nu een tweetal weken geen facebook meer op G700 en geen uit val meer gehad. Facebook is dus duidelijk de boos doener.   • Vandaag weer eens facebook op G700 geplaatst......gelijk na op het icoontje van facebook te hebben gedrukt schakeld de G700 zich weer helemaal uit zich zelf uit en start dan vrolijk weer opnieuw op. Ook bepaalde instellingen wat ik had uit gezet staan dan weer gelijk allemaal op aan. Gelijk facebook weer verwijderd, en geen problemen meer onder vonden. Zonder update van huawei en die komt er niet meer volgens huawei zal er een nieuwe mobiel gekocht moeten worden als je facebook (en wie gebruikt facebook nou niet) wil blijven gebruiken.....     Ik heb Huawei g700 en sinds paar manden gaat hij uit en aan van zichzelf bijna elke dag. Weten jullie wat ik moet doen want er zit geer garantie meer op. Moet ik nieuwe software erop zetten of hardteset doen via de menu van de telefoon zelf.

  • Bij dagelijks gebruik gaat de G700 gemiddeld 2 tot 3 jaar mee volgens Huawei. Het uit en aangaan kun je niet verhelpen met een update omdat er geen update voor de G700 is. Het betreft een budget telefoon hetgeen betekent dat deze gezien zijn prijs minder lang meegaat als bijvoorbeeld de duurdere Samsung of Iphone. Geantwoord op 6-4-2016 om 19:33

  • Dochter kan niet meer inloggen op haar telefoon. Als ze haar wachtwoord wil intypen, verdwijnt het toetsenbord. Terug naar fabrieksinstellingen is allerlaatste optie want al haar foto's staan op het interne geheugen. Kan ook geen contact met de computer maken om de foto's over te zetten.     • met wat geluk staan de foto'sop een geheugenkaartje opgeslaan, en kun je dit kaartje met een gepaste kaartlezer uitlezen en dan toch een factory reset uitvoeren op de G700.

  • Ik heb dit probleem helaas ook gehad. Er is geen mogelijkheid dat je de foto's nog te zien kan krijgen en anders kan opslaan. De enige oplossing is de telefoon terug zetten naar de fabrieksinstellingen. Het is handig om hierna een microSIM in de telefoon te doen. Hierop worden je foto's automatisch opgeslagen en als je dit probleem dan nog een keer hebt, staan de foto's nog wel op de microSIM. Veel succes! Geantwoord op 28-3-2016 om 13:40

    • Bijna twee jaar, dan kun je de G700 nog opsturen zit 2 jaar garantie op. Heb het zelfde gehad opgestuurd lag niet aan de batterij maar aan de software die ze een update hebben gegeven doet het nu weer als nieuw. Geantwoord op 26-12-2015 om 16:58

  • Ik heb hetzelfde probleem. Ik merkte dat er een conflict was met Facebook. Nadat ik de facebook app verwijderd had, was het probleem opgelost. Ik kan trouwens zonder problemen facebooken door via de browser naar facebook te gaan. Geantwoord op 2-2-2017 om 00:38

    • Dit heb ik ook gehad.
      Er is in de winkel een harde reset uitgevoerd. Echter heeft dit niet geholpen.
      Maar je kan dit uitproberen. Kan je vast wel op internet zoeken hoe dit precies moet...

  • mijn huawei is een jaar oud. Batterij is na 5 uur leeg. Sinds gisteren is ook een gedeelte van mijn foto,s weg. Begon met zwarte blokjes in de galerij waarop stond: no miniature.       Bij intensief gebruik van internet is de accu inderdaad sneller leeg van de (budget) telefoon G700. Doorgaans zou je bij intensief internetten met een volle accu 5 a 6 uur moeten doen. Foto`s is een raar geval, heb je nog garantie dan de G700 aanbieden voor garantie bij drmobile.eu

    • Heb hierover met huawei contact gehad en de oplossing hiervoor is: Android Huawei Hard Reset

      Een hard reset houdt in dat je Android toestel terug naar de fabrieksinstellingen wordt gezet. Je gegevens en apps worden gewist door een hard reset. Het is daarom verstandig eerst een back up van je persoonlijke gegevens te maken, voordat je een hard reset uitvoert.

      Bij de huawei voer je op de volgende manier een hard reset uit:
      1.Schakel je Huawei telefoon uit.
      2.Houd de 'Volume Omlaag' knop ingedrukt en druk kort op de AAN/UIT toets.
      3.Wacht tot het scherm met de drie Android-afbeeldingen verschijnt en laat vervolgens de 'Volume Omlaag' knop los.
      4.Wat je nu moet doen verschilt per toestel, maar meestal is er een optie met 'terug naar fabrieksinstellingen' of 'gegevens wissen'.

      Succes! Hopelijk is je probleem hierdoor opgelost.

  • Ik heb een Huawei G700 telefoon en ik kan als ik gebeld word of zelf bel de beller niet horen. De beller hoort mij gewoon luid en duidelijk. Soms doet hij het wel. Als ik mijn telefoon op de luidspreker zet hoor ik de andere kant prima. Wat is er mis en wat kan ik eraan doen?
