• Check the display. If SAVING is displayed, you are in Direct
Load Control mode and your thermostat is under control of
the utility. Cooling may not come on until the Direct Load
Control period ends.
• The thermostat has a built-in time delay on cooling. Allow
five to ten minutes after changing the setting before the air
conditioner starts to prevent equipment damage.
• If temperature setting is lower than current temperature,
and the display shows COOL, set the system control to the
OFF setting for ten minutes. After ten minutes, return the
system control to the COOL setting. If the air conditioner
comes on, the compressor may have reached its high limit
temperature protection and shutdown. If the air conditioner
does not come on after ten minutes and the display shows
COOL, contact your utility.
