If the alarm fails to operate, the advice of the manufacturer should be sought.
10. Maintenance
This smoke alarm is equipped with a self-testing mechanism. Additionally, we recommend testing the
smoke alarm manually at least once per month by pressing the test/silence button. If the smoke alarm
functions correctly, it will generate a loud beep. Due to the loudness of the alarm, make sure that you
always stand at arm’s length distance from the unit when testing. If the smoke alarm does not generate
the acoustic signal, it must be replaced immediately. Clean the smoke alarm at least once per month to
remove dirt, dust or debris. Use a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush and vacuum all sides of the smoke
alarm. Do not remove the top cover to clean it inside. The alarm does not contain any serviceable parts
inside – do not attempt to open or repair it. If the alarm shows any signs of damage, it must be replaced.
