IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read through all the instructions before starting to use the
fan. Keep this manual in a safe place for future reference.
1. The fan must not be left unattended when children are
anywhere near. Keep the remote control in a place that is
inaccessible to children.
2. Only connect the fan to a single-phase power socket
with the voltage as stated on the type plate.
3. Switch the fan off and pull the power plug (5) out of the
power socket when the fan is not being used, or when it is
moved, handled or cleaned. Do not tug at the power cable
(5) when disconnecting the plug.
4. Unwind the power cable (5) completely. An incompletely
unwound power cable (5) can lead to overheating and
cause a fire.
5. Do not use a variable speed controller. This could lead to
overheating, fire, electric shock or defective functioning.
6. The fan must only be operated after complete and
correct installation, as described in the “instructions for
mounting”.
7. Do not immerse the fan or the remote control (7) in
water or any other liquids and do not pour water or any
other liquids over the fan or the remote control. Make sure
that the remote control (7) is not exposed to direct
sunlight.
8. Clean the fan and the remote control (7) regularly by
following the cleaning instructions.
9. The fan must only be used as instructed in the user
manual. If these instructions are ignored there could be
injuries, fire or an electric shock.
10. Use only alkaline batteries AAA 1.5V in the remote
control. When you change the batteries, use only new
alkaline batteries AAA, 1.5 V. Dispose of the used batteries
for recycling according to your local regulations.
11. If you are not going to use the remote control (7) for a
longer period (4 weeks or more), take the batteries out of
the battery compartment.
12. The fan is designed only for private use indoors and
not for commercial use. Do not use the fan anywhere near
a bathtub, a shower-bath, or a swimming-pool or in a
location where water could splash on the fan.
13. Do not operate the fan if it is damaged or shows any
signs of damage, or if it is not working properly.
Disconnect the power plug (5) from the power socket.
14. If the fan power cable is damaged it must be repaired
by a workshop approved by the manufacturer, as special
tools are needed.

FIRST TIME OF USE
1. Read through all the instructions before starting to use
the fan.
2. Unpack all the parts of the fan and the power cable with
the power plug (5). Remove all packaging materials and
dispose of them for recycling.
3. Place the fan on a firm, even surface. Make sure that it
is standing securely so that it cannot tip or fall over. A
safety distance of at least 50 cm from other objects must
be observed.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR MOUNTING
1. Loosen the four cross recess screws (3) on the
underside of the fan and remove them.
2. First mount the front base (1) on the underside of the
fan and then press the four openings of the rear base (2)
onto the four pegs of the front base (1). The front base (1)
is curved at the top front edge; the rear base (2) has a
cable track (4) on the underside. When mounting the
bases, make sure that the power cable (5) passes through
the opening in the middle of the bases.
