10 English
socket at the back of the transmitter.
Lay the cable to the door chime and
attach the microphone to the door
chime by peeling off the paper circle
to reveal the sticky ring beneath.
For optimal operation of the transmit-
ter the sensitivity may be adjusted so
that only the doorbell activates the
transmitter and not back ground
noise.
Setting the sensitivity
1. Set the sensitivity controller to its
lowest level (turn to the anticlock wise
to stop).
2. Activate the doorbell and gradually
increase the sensitivity of the trans-
mitter (by turning the dial clockwise)
until the transmitter reacts to the door-
bell.
3. If your intercom system operates
with different signal tones, make sure
that both signal tones are reli ably
detected.
Telephone connection
Plug the transmitter into a convenient
mains socket. Plug the end of the
cable with the transparent clip-in con-
nector (6-pin plug) into the socket at
the back of the transmitter. Plug the
other end into the telephone socket. If
the required telephone socket is in
use plug a 3-way telephone adaptor
into the socket and plug your telepho-
ne into one of the sockets on the
adaptor.
Warning
Only use the supplied telephone
cable otherwise correct operation can
not be guaranteed. The lisa combi II
is only designed for connection to
analogue systems. If a connection is
required to a digital system (e.g.
ISDN or part of a PBX exchange
system) please use a ISDN telephone
transmitter, a telephone transmitter
acous tic, the Universal-lisa or the lisa
combi III.
Important note
All lisa devices connected to the
mains supply have a low power con-
sumption which may lead to the
device feeling warm. This is normal
and does not interfere with the normal
function of the devices.
High and low voltage spikes (e.g.
during a thunderstorm) can occur on
the mains supply. The lisa devices
have an integrated electronic control-
ler which may stop working after
these conditions. If this happens
simply unplug each of the devices
and plug them in again.
As a precaution remove all devices
from their sockets during a thun-
derstorm.
The use of halogen lamps of or other
equipment (e.g. Micro wave ovens)
may, in rare cases, interfere with the
lisa signals. In these cases the use of
mains filters or suppressors is advisa-
ble. Please ask your dealer.
