CONNECTING TO TV SET.
In order to let the recorder work properly, connecting the recorder to TV set with aerial cable
and one of the following video cable is necessary.
(
! Please keep the equipment off during connection.)
Connections 1 & 2 are necessary for TV and recorder to receive TV signal. Unlike conventional
VCR machine, the recorder will not output its "own" signal via the aerial cable. So, it's normal
that you cannot view the recorder signal from any of the spare TV channels.
Connecting either one of 3&A, 4&A, 5&A or 6 is necessary for the TV to receive recorder signal.
Notes:
1 For a TV with SCART jack, connect the recorder's "scart1" jack to the TV's scart jack.
The scart jack contains R-G-B and Composite video signals and down mix stereo Left and
Right audio signals.
2 For a TV without SCART jack, and without VGA jack, Connecting the player's down mix
audio left (L) and right (R) output to the TV's audio left and right inputs. Connecting
either one of the player's video output ( Video, S-Video or component) to the TV's
corresponding video input. If the TV set is equipped with component video input,
connecting this signal will provide the best picture quality.
3. If the TV has more than one video inputs, you may choose either one to connect. Make
sure you have properly connected the video and audio ports, and switch the TV channel
to the same input (e.g. AV1, AV2,.. etc.)
