Automatic search
In the »Automatic Search« menu you may let search for all receivable TV and
radio services of a selected satellite (e.g. Astra or EutelSat/Hotbird).
At the moment, the automatic search for Astra satellite services, with complete
search range and the symbol rates 27500 and 22000 Ksymbols/s (= Kilo-
symbols per second), takes about 10 minutes.
At first, the entire search area for the satellite and the first symbol rate is
scanned, then for the second symbol rate, and finally, if applicable, for the
third symbol rate.
The lower the symbol rate the lower the scan steps, that is, a scan for a lower
symbol rate takes less time.
Note:
As not all broadcasters adhere to the standards of digital TV, or do not
broadcast around the clock, it may happen that a different number of
services is found during several search procedures.
1 Display the »Main Menu« on the picture screen using the »Ǻ Menu « button.
2 Select the »Search« row using the »
P+, P-
« buttons then press the »OK«
button.
3 Select the »Automatic Search« row using the »
P+, P-
« buttons then press
the »OK« button.
4 If necessary, select the »Satellite« row using the »
P+, P-
« buttons then
press the »OK« button.
