CD handling
• Use only Digital Audio CDs which have the
symbol
ʀ

• To take the CD out of its box easily, press the
centre spindle while lifting the CD.
• Never write on a CD or attach any sticker to
the CD.
• Always hold the CD at the edge and store it
in its box after use with the label facing up.
• To remove dust and dirt, breathe on the CD
and wipe it with a soft, lint-free cloth in a
straight line from the center towards the edge.
Cleaning agents may damage the CD.
• Do not expose the CD to rain, moisture, sand,
or to excessive heat (e.g. from heating
equipment).
Loading compact discs
• Press the CD button.
• Press OPEN/CLOSE.
– The CD compartment slides out.
– OPEN appears on the display
• Insert a CD with the printed side up in the
right tray.
• You can load another disc in the left tray.
• To insert the third CD, press the DISC
CHANGE button.
– The CD changer carousel will rotate and the
empty tray is now ready for loading.
• Close the CD compartment tray by pressing
OPEN/CLOSE.
– The display shows the current disc number, the
number of tracks and the total playing time of
the CD in the selected tray.

NOTES:
• A CD can play even when the CD
compartment is open.
• The two other discs can be replaced without
interrupting playback.
• Do not change a CD while the CD
compartment is rotating.
• Do not touch the CD compartment while it is
rotating.
To play a CD
• Insert CD(s) (see LOADING CDs).
• Select a disc to be played by pressing DISC
SELECT. The CD to be played starts blinking
on the display.
• Press PLAY/PAUSE B; to start playing the
disc from the first track.
• Adjust the VOLUME control as desired.
• To temporarily stop playback, press
PLAY/PAUSE B;; The display will show
;

• Press PLAY/PAUSE B; again to resume
playback.
• To stop playback before the end of the disc is
reached, press CD STOP

• Even when only one CD is loaded, the unit
automatically rotates the tray (regardless of the
disc number), and detects the disc position to
start playback when PLAY/PAUSE B; is
pressed.
