Setting the time
When you first switch on the device, the automatic station search starts
(Display: »Welcome to DAB« and a progress scale). Once the device has
found a DAB station it begins playback and the time is set automatically.
If no DAB station is found, the display shows »No stations available«.
Readjust the device and the wire antenna for better reception and repeat the
automatic station search as described below.
Searching for and saving DAB stations
DAB stations are combined into ensembles (multiplexes) at regional and
national levels. An ensemble contains several stations broadcast on the same
frequency. One individual station can combine other secondary service com-
ponents such as live broadcasts or foreign language news.
DAB stations are broadcast on Band III (174.928-239.200 MHz, 5A - 13F).
Automatic station search
1 Briefly press »MENU« to call up the DAB menu.
2 In the DAB menu, press »ɶ TUNING ʺ« to select option »Autoscan
full« and confirm by pressing »SELECT«.
– Display: »Scanning ...«, a scale showing the progress made, and the
number of stations found.
– The device searches the entire DAB band for new stations.
– After the end of the search, in an alphanumeric arrangement of stations
(A .. Z, 0 ... 9) the first station can be heard. If no stations are found,
»No stations available« appears in the display. The display then
changes to a manual station search.
