Your personal code number is to be found on the identity card of
your car radio. Coding is not activated when the radio leaves the
factory. If you have activated your car radio's coding, the radio is
electronically blocked as soon as you disconnect it from the car
battery (or permanent plus terminal 30). It then can only be put
back into operation by entering your personal code number again.

Activating coding
1 Activate the EXPERT control level.
2 Turn the »
O« control knob to select the »CODE« indication.
3 Briefly press the »EXPERT« button.
– Indication in the display: »E - - - -« and the station button
numbers »1«, »2«, »3«, »4«.
4 Enter the code number using the station buttons »1«, »2«, »3«,
and »4«.
Example: code number 1703
»1« 1 brief pressure »1 - - -«
»2« 7 brief pressures »1 7 - -«
»3« 10 brief pressures »1 7 0 -«
»4« 3 brief pressures »1 7 0 3«
Note:
When pressing a longer time, the corresponding figure counts
backwards.
5 Briefly press the »EXPERT« button to confirm the entry.
– Indication in the display: »SAFE«.
– Coding is activated.
6 To exit the EXPERT control level, press the »EXPERT« button
until the signal sounds.
