7 Decommissioning and storage
7.1 Decommissioning

Take the device out of operation by releasing the „ON/OFF button“ (D) in the handle.
Disconnect the device from the power supply.
Never place the device on a flammable surface after finishing work, but always put it on a
fixed, non-flammable surface. Always switch off the appliance as shown in Fig. 8to let it
cool down.
Risk of burns caused by hot parts!
Even after switching off, the protective cover with heating element (I) remains extreme-
ly hot for a long period of time.
The cooling time is approx. 20 minutes. Do not leave the device unattended during this
time. Uninvolved must keep their distance!
7.2 Cleaning
Risk of death due to electric shock!
If the energised device comes into contact with water, there is a risk of seri ous injury
or death! You should therefore observe the following safety instructions:
Switch off the device and disconnect the power cord (C) from the power supply.
Do not immerse the device in water or spray or clean it with water.
The device must be protected against moisture.
However, if the device does fall into water, immediately unplug the mains plug.
Never reach into the water if the device is still connected!
Clean the outside of the device that has cooled down with a damp cloth or soft brush. Do
not use abrasives or harsh cleaning agents.
Only use original GLORIA spare parts for repairs.
Repairs must be carried out by a GLORIA service point.
7.3 Storage

CAUTION
You may be exposed to hazards that could injure you when handling the device. You
must therefore store the device away from children.
Place the device that has cooled down in a dry and frost-free place.
