more than 200 ml. However, at least the food must always cover the lowest
blade (approx. 125 ml).
• The processing time depends on the type, quality, and amount of your food and
the desired consistency. However, normally the processing time for one filling of
the glass container will reach only several seconds (see table below).
• The maximum time of continuous processing should not exceed 10 seconds. In
order to achieve the desired processing times, use the appliance with pulses
and inter-mediate brakes of 10 seconds.
• Cut bigger foods into smaller pieces of approx. 3 - 4 cm in size.
• Cheese: The appliance grades every kind of cheese perfectly, even soft cheese.
Use two or three pairs of blades and run the appliance with pulses.
• Tomatoes, nuts, onions etc.: For fine chopping, use two or three pairs of blades
and run the appliance with pulses.
• Caster sugar and Cereals: Only use the lower pair of blades. The ingredients
must cover the blades completely. After grinding sugar, cereals, or other dry
ingredients, always wait at least 1 minute before opening the lid. Always
keep away any sources of ignition (e.g. fire, cigarettes) to avoid the risk of
dust explosion.
• Ice: For ice crushing, use all three pairs of blades and run the appliance with
pulses. It is good advice to place the glass container into the freezer for some
minutes before processing.
• Fruits: Wash your fruits thoroughly. Remove all inedible and extremely hard
parts (e.g. peels and shells, stalks, seads). Additionally, remove all hard, thick,
bitter, or chemically treated peels (e.g. of citrus fruits).
• Frothing up (cream, milk, egg white, etc.): For frothing up, only fill in 200 ml
at the maximum (lowest blade is just covered). Otherwise, the glass container
could froth over. If froth is escaping besides the motor, immediately release the
ON/OFF button and unplug the appliance.
PROCESSING COOKED FOOD AND BABY FOOD
Especially when preparing meals for babies and sick or invalid persons, before
feeding/serving you should ensure that no large pieces are still left within the meal.
To get a complete meal, cut the food into small pieces, add some liquid (e.g. broth,
juice, or milk) and first mix the ingredients with pulses in the DESIGN MINI CHOP-
PER PLUS. To blend the mixed food, press the start button continuously for up to 10
seconds at the maximum until you reach the desired result.
