Always keep these safety instructions (operating instructions) with the device. The device may
only be operated by persons with sufficient experience.
Repairs to the device must be carried out by the manufacturer or companies
recommended by him.
Getting started
• If you are working with the device for the first time, you must receive practical
instruction in the use of the device and personal protection device from an
experienced operator.
• Be alert. Work with common sense. If you are tired or under the influence of drugs,
alcohol or medication, you must not use the device. Failure to use the device properly
may result in serious injury
• Familiarise yourself with the device before use. Inadequately informed operators can
endanger themselves or other persons through improper use.
• Make sure you are standing securely and keep your balance at all times. The use of, e.g. a
ladder is not permitted.
• Do not use the device for purposes for which it is not intended (see "Intended use").
• Wear suitable work clothing:
• No jewellery or lose clothing, they could be caught in the device
• Gloves and non-slip footwear
• For long hair a hair net
• Wear protective clothing:
o Hearing protection
o Safety goggles or face shield
o Work gloves
o Safety shoes
o Tested helmet in situations where head injuries are to be expected.
• It is recommended to wear leg protection and a safety jacket.
• Keep your work area in order!
• Take environmental influences into account:
o Do not expose the device to rain.
o Do not use the device in a wet or humid environment.
o Postpone work in unfavourable weather conditions (rain, snow, ice, wind) due to
increased risk of accidents!
o Ensure good lighting.
o Do not use the device near flammable liquids or gases.
• You may not be able to hear danger because of the engine noise. Therefore, make yourself
familiar with your surroundings.
• Never leave the device unattended.
