However safe a child seat is, however well built it is, your child’s safety depends on you
carrying out the following checks before every journey.
Final Checklist
Group. 2-3, from 15 to 36 kg (from approximately 3 to 12 years).
Fitting the Car Seat when using the Adult Seat Belt Only Group 2-3
Important! Before installing the car seat check that the buckle of the adult seat belt is not
positioned so that it reaches under the armrest of the car seat. If this is the case, try another
seat or contact our customer service department for advice.
Before installing the car seat in the vehicle, first remove the harness from the car seat.
Refer to the section “removing the harness”. Raise the headrest to its highest position.
Your car seat is fitted with an adjustable headrest that has been designed to support your
child throughout growth by providing maximum lateral head protection. Never remove the
backrest of your car seat.
The headrest can be moved up or down through a series of stop positions. To do this hold
firmly on the top of the backrest and pull or push on the headrest until it moves into the
required stop position to suit the size of your child.
Place the car seat against the backrest of the vehicle seat (22).
Check that the headrest of the vehicle seat does not obstruct the car seat. If this should be
the case then adjust or remove the vehicle headrest.
With your child sitting upright and back in the seat, extract the adult seat belt and pass it
across the front of the child.

Securing the Car Seat and your Child
Check the head rest is fitted in its lower position.
Check the car seat is facing forwards in the vehicle and in the direction of travel (12).
Check the seat belt is fitted correctly using the adult seat belt (13) (14) (15) (16).
Check the vehicle seat belt is not twisted and tight around your car seat.
Is the harness set correctly and to the correct shoulder height (6) (7) (8) (9).
Ensure the harness straps are not twisted.
Check the harness is set for the clothing and not loose (10).
Check the harness is secure with the buckle and shoulder strap connectors latched
together and harness tension is correct (17) (18).
Once connected then pull on the tension straps (I) until the harness is snug to the child’s
body and that no more than two fingers can be passed behind the shoulder straps and the
child’s chest (18). Make sure the lower lap straps are as low as possible to retain the pelvis.
