B. CLEAN/DIRTY SELECT - Press to switch between
CLEAN and DIRTY channels as shown by the LEDs:
green—CLEAN channel
yellow or red—“DIRTY” (Drive) channels
C. DRIVE SELECT - Press DRIVE SELECT to switch
between TIGHT DRIVE and LOOSE DRIVE channels
(as shown by the LEDs when CLEAN/DIRTY
SELECT {B} is set to “DIRTY”):
yellow—TIGHT DRIVE channel
red—LOOSE DRIVE channel
NOTE: When CLEAN/DIRTY SELECT {B} is set to
“CLEAN,” use DRIVE SELECT to “pre-select” a DIRTY
channel as shown by the color of the footswitch LED.
D. DRIVE - Use these knobs to adjust the distortion level
of each DIRTY channel.
E. VOLUME - Use these knobs to adjust the loudness of
each channel.
F. PRESENCE - Use these knobs to adjust the ultra-high
frequency response of each DIRTY channel.
G. TREBLE / MID / BASS - Use these knobs to adjust
the high–, middle–, and low–frequency response (EQ)
of each channel.
H. BOOST - Use this knob to set a volume boost level for
all channels; useful for lead solos. Use the footswitch
to switch BOOST on–off.
I. FX LEVEL - Use this knob to adjust the level of the
selected effect. Use the footswitch to switch the
onboard effects on–off.
J. FX SELECT - Use this knob to select one of the 16
effects described on the next page.
K. POWER - Press this switch to turn the amplifier on-off
as indicated by the LED. NOTE: Turn down all 3
VOLUME knobs before switching the MH-500 on!
Rear Panel
N. POWER INPUT - Connect the included power cord to
a grounded AC outlet in accordance with the voltage
and frequency ratings specified on the rear panel of
your amplifier.
O. SPEAKER OUTPUTS - Only connect speakers with a
total impedance load equal to the SPEAKER SELECT
setting for optimal gain performance:
4Ω—Two 8Ω speakers or one 4Ω speaker
2Ω—Four 8Ω speakers or two 4Ω speakers
P. XLR LINE OUT - Balanced connection for speaker-
emulated output to a mixing console. Use LINE OUT
LEVEL to adjust the signal output level. Use
GROUND/LIFT to disconnect the ground connection
(pin-1) to reduce “ground loop” noise caused by non-
standard wiring.

Q. FOOTSWITCH - Plug the included footswitch in here.
The footswitch disables channel selection from the
front panel switches {B,C}.
