Installation
When placing and installing the insect-killer, it is important to take the location of
the device in the room/space into account.
1. Hang the insect-killer centrally in the room; that way, the ultraviolet light can be
dispersed better and attract insects from the entire area.
2. The best height for the insect-killer is 1.5 to 2 metres off the ground, which is the
most common flying height for insects.
3. Install your insect-killer in a relatively dark place: not in direct sunlight
(windows, doors), because bright sunlight weakens the insect-killer’s radiation
power. Artificial light does not weaken the radiation, but makes it work less well.
4. Do not place the insect killer in draught. Insects avoid draught and/or air flows.
Therefore, placing the insect killer in draught/air flows will render it ineffective.
Use and Maintenance
Using
Make sure that the power socket you intend using has the correct voltage
(220/240V~50Hz Remove the protective piece of paper glued onto the glue layer of
the glue paper. Insert the glue paper into the slot intended for that purpose at the
inside of the device with the glue layer directed to the front side. You put the
apparatus into operation by inserting the plug into the wall socket. The lamp will
start burning and the device will start operating.
Replacing the glue paper
Always take the entire apparatus out of the wall socket before you replace the glue
paper. Replace the glue paper once every two (2) weeks and more often in extreme
situations.
First, remove the used glue paper from the apparatus.
Remove the protective piece of paper glued onto the glue layer of the
new glue paper.
Insert the new glue paper into the slot intended for that purpose at the
inside of the apparatus with the glue layer directed to the front side.
Cleaning
Always take the entire apparatus out of the wall socket before you clean the
apparatus. Clean the outside of the apparatus using a clean or well-wrung cloth. Do
not use abrasive or caustic cleaning agents.
Replacing the lamp
Always take the entire apparatus out of the wall socket before you replace the
lamp. The lamp can easily be pulled out of its holder via the topside of the
apparatus. Subsequently, you can insert the new lamp into the holder via the
topside of the apparatus. Check whether the lamp is completely inserted into the
holder. Insert the plug of the apparatus into an appropriate socket and check
whether the lamp burns. Only use the same type of lamp (see the sticker on the
apparatus and/or the technical data in the manual).
