Safety warnings
1. This appliance is intended for indoor use.
2. The appliance is not suitable for sheds, stables or similar locations
where the air is humid and acidy. This can affect the materials.
3. Connect the appliance only to suitable earthed socket that
provides 220/240V~50Hz.
4. Do not use the appliance in areas that contain explosive or
flammable gases, vapours and liquids or similar materials e.g., not
in garages. In addition, do not use the appliance in places that have
a risk of substance explosion. The insect killer could emit a spark
that can ignite such materials!
5. Do not use the appliance in ‘wet’ rooms, such as swimming pools,
laundry rooms, bathrooms, etc. Never submerge the appliance in
water or in any other liquid!
6. Do not place the appliance in an open window (due to rain), not on
a wet surface and prevent that any type of moisture is spilled on it.
7. Do not make any changes to the appliance; that can be dangerous
and it will invalidate the manufacturer’s warranty.
8. Make sure you never touch the high-voltage grid while it operates:
not with your fingers, a pen, a piece of paper or any other object.
This can cause an electric shock and perhaps fire! Never stick any
objects into the appliance through the safety grid.
9. Ensure careful supervision when the appliance is used in the
presence of children, incapacitated persons or pets. The appliance
is not suitable for use by people (including children) with physical,
sensory or mental disabilities. It is also not suitable for use by
people who lack knowledge and experience, regardless of whether
there is supervision or instructions given (prior to use) by a person
responsible for their safety.
10. You must supervise that children do not play with the appliance.
The grid is under high voltage!
11. Place the appliance out of children’s reach. Danger! High voltage!
12. Remove the plug from the socket before cleaning the appliance.
Use a suitable brush (not a metal brush) to clean the high-voltage
grid and throw away the dead insects in the collection tray at least
once a week.
13. If the appliance, cord or plug shows damage, switch off the
appliance immediately and remove the plug from the socket. Turn
to your supplier or a certified electrician for repairing/replacing the
part. Never carry out repairs yourself!
