BATTERIES

Batteries/rechargeable batteries do not belong in the hands of children.
-
Do not leave batteries lying around in the open. There is a danger that children or pets may
swallow them. If they are swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
-
Leaking or damaged batteries/rechargeable batteries in contact with the skin can cause acid
burns; therefore, use suitable safety gloves.
-
Batteries/rechargeable batteries must not be short-circuited, opened or thrown into fi re. There
is a risk of explosion!
-
Do not recharge normal, non-rechargeable batteries; risk of explosion! Only charge recharge-
able batteries that are intended for this purpose; use a suitable battery charger.
-
Make sure that the polarity is correct when inserting the battery/rechargeable battery (pay
attention to plus/+ and minus/-).
SET-UP
-
Place the device on a level, fl at and stable surface.
-
Lay the cable of the outdoor sensor outside.
-
Protect valuable furniture surfaces by using a suitable underlay; otherwise, it may cause
scratch marks.
-
The set-up location should not be in the direct vicinity of any heat sources, since otherwise the
measured values can be distorted. For this reason, you should also avoid placing it in direct
sunlight.
INSERTING/REPLACING THE BATTERY/RECHARGEABLE
BATTERY
Open the battery compartment on the rear of the housing and insert a battery of type AAA/Micro
with the correct polarity. The correct polarity is indicated in the battery compartment.
After inserting the battery, the device operates again.
Close the battery compartment again.
The battery must be replaced, if the contrast on the display fades or the display no longer func-
tions.

Rechargeable batteries can be used. However, the lower operating voltage (rechargeable
battery = 1.2 V, battery 1.5 V) and lower capacity will reduce the operating time.
When you change the batteries, the stored maximum and minimum values of the ther-
mometer and hygrometer are deleted.
OPERATION

The sensor for the room temperature is inside the casing and thus also shows the mea-
sured value in the inner casing. Therefore, to obtain more accurate measured values, do
not hold the device in your hand or place it near a heat source.
The measurement display needs about 15 to 30 minutes to stabilise and to display an
accurate value.
-
In normal mode the display indicates the current values for the indoor and outdoor tempera-
ture simultaneously.
-
Press the MIN/MAX RESET button briefl y multiple times to call up the maximum and minimum
values for the indoor and outdoor temperature.
-
To erase the memory and restart the recording of maximum and minimum values, press and
hold the MAX/MIN RESET button.
-
Press the °C/°F button to toggle the display unit of the temperature value.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
The product does not require any maintenance and should never be disassembled for any reason.
Please use a soft, dry, clean cloth for cleaning. Do not use any chemical cleaning agents, as they
can discolour the plastic casing.
