Sets the density of the outgoing fax.
❏ Document Size (Glass)
Select the size and orientation of the original you placed on the scanner glass.
❏ ADF 2-Sided
Scans both sides of originals placed in the ADF and sends a monochrome fax.
❏ Direct Send
Sends monochrome faxes to a single recipient as soon as the connection is made, without saving the
scanned image to memory. If you do not enable this option, the printer starts the transmission

saving the scanned image to memory and may cause a memory full error when sending many pages.
By using this option, you can avoid the error, but it takes longer to send the fax. You cannot use this
option when using the ADF 2-Sided option and when sending a fax to multiple recipients.
❏ Priority Send
Sends the current fax before other faxes waiting to be sent.
❏ Continuous Scan from ADF
When sending a fax from the ADF, you cannot add originals in the ADF

❏ Transmission Report
Prints a transmission report automatically aer you send a fax. Select Print on Error to print a
report only when an error occurs.
Send Fax Later
Select the menus on the control panel as described below.
Fax > Menu > Send Fax Later
Sends a fax at a time you specied. Only a monochrome fax is available when using this option.
Polling Receive
Select the menus on the control panel as described below.
Fax > Menu > Polling Receive
Connects to the fax number you entered and receives a fax stored on the fax machine. You can use this
option for receiving a fax from a fax information service.
Polling Send
Select the menus on the control panel as described below.
Fax > Menu > Polling Send
Stores one scanned document (up to 100 monochrome pages) for polling and sends it automatically
when another fax machine requests it using the device's polling receive function.
