2. Open the setting screen of FAX Utility.
Note:
If a password entry screen is displayed, enter the password. If you do not know the password, contact your printer
administrator.

Click Fax Settings for Printer, select the printer, and then click Received Fax Output Settings.
❏ Mac OS X
Click Fax Receive Monitor, select the printer, and then click Receive Settings.
3. Click Save faxes on this computer and click Browse to specify the folder to save received documents.
4. Make the other settings as necessary.

For details on the setting items and instructions, see the FAX Utility help settings screen.

Send the settings information to your printer.

Click Send.
If you want to save and print at the same time, go to the next step.
6. On the printer's control panel, select Setup > System Administration > Fax Settings > Output Settings.

On the Fax Output screen, select Settings, Save to Computer, and then select Ye s a nd Prin t.
Note:
To stop saving received document on the computer, set Save to Computer to No. You can also use FAX Utility to change
the setting, however, changing from FAX Utility is not allowed while there are received faxes that have not been saved
on the computer.

Forwarding Received Faxes
You can set to forward received documents to another fax machine, or convert the documents into PDF format
and forward them to a shared folder on a network or to an email address. Forwarded documents are deleted from
the printer. First register the forwarding destinations to the contacts list. To forward to an email address, you also
need to
congure
the email server settings.
Note:
❏ Color documents cannot be forwarded to another fax machine. ey are processed as documents that failed to be
forwarded.
❏ Before you use this feature, make sure the printer's Date/Time and Ti m e
