In general the LI1275 battery is maintenance-free.
The LI1275 battery can be cleaned with a damp cloth. Do not use any aggressive
cleaning chemicals.
Routinely check the battery’s charge status.
Consider replacing the battery with a new one if you note either of the following
conditions:
The battery run time drops below about 80% of the original run time.
The battery charge time increases significantly.
Storage:
Lithium batteries are liable to self-discharge over time because the BMS circuit itself
draws current from the battery pack. Although the amount of current is usually small
( <1mA typically) it is still enough to kill a battery in a few months, especially if it is
stored in an initially flat state.
To prevent the battery from becoming totally discharged during long
periods of inactivity it must be fully charged and frost-proof stored.
Advise: Disconnect the battery from the charger and from the 12V load.
Close the cover of the 12V DC input jack.
If you plan to store the LI1275 battery, be sure to charge at least once every six months.
Never store the battery completely empty.
Store the battery in cool and breezy place. (The ideal temperature is 0 tot 20 degrees
Celsius). If the temperature is higher than 100 degrees Celsius, it could cause battery
leakage and break.
If you pay attention to the above mentioned notes, you can enjoy your LI1275 battery
for a very long time.
