16.0 Downloading using the media player
The EM7385 & EM7380 are equipped with a Usenet (NZBget) and a Torrent module.
The Torrent module is called Transmission. Using one of these modules, you are able
to download files from the internet.
When using the EM7385: The use of these modules require an internal hard disk
drive, which needs to be formatted using the EM7385’s internal format option.
When using the EM7380: A USB hard disk needs to be in use to be able to use the
download functions of the EM7380.
Hint: In order to make sure your downloads will not get corrupt if the media player is
suddenly or accidentally turned off using the remote control, the media player has a
built-in ‘Safe shutdown’ feature which is turned on by default. However, you need to
make sure the ‘Safe shutdown’ feature is enabled. This feature makes sure the
download process will be stopped safely before the media player completely turns off.
