which are in place as a matter of course do not cover
all possible accident risks.
As manufacturers, however, we also feel obliged to
familiarize you with the following safety instructions.
Electrical connection
This new appliance may only be installed and
connected to the electricity supply by an
approved electrician. Please observe this
point since failure to do so will result in any
warranty claims in the event of damage or
faults being inapplicable.
For purposes of safety, electric built-in appli-
ances must be installed in suitable standard-
ized built-in cabinets.
Damaged appliances must not be put into use.
In the event of a fault or malfunction please
switch off the safety fuse or screw it out.
Repairs to appliances must be carried out by
qualified technicians. Repairs carried out
improperly may result in serious risk. Should
you need any repair work done, please contact
our customer service or your local stockist.
Child safety
The appliance becomes hot when you cook and
bake. For this reason small children must
always be kept away from the oven.
Safety during operation
This appliance may only be used in households
and may only be used for its intended purpose,
i.e. for the preparation of food in households.
The oven must be heated up before you use it
for the first time. Please ensure that the room is
well-ventilated.
Take care when connecting electrical appli-
ances to sockets located near the appliance.
Connection leads may not come into contact
with hot parts or become caught in the frame of
the oven by the oven door.
Heating elements for top heat and for grilling at
the top of the oven and a hot oven itself may
cause burns if the appliance is not handled with
care.
It is essential that pan holders, oven cloths or
oven gloves be used when hot food is being
taken out of the oven.
Besides the accessories supplied, please use
only suitable, heat-resistant baking and roast-
ing tins. Please follow the manufacturer's
instructions carefully.
Use only the original roasting thermometer! On
being used it must be placed more than 5 cm
away from the grill and upper heat devices.
Make sure that you do not catch the cable of
the roasting thermometer in the door of the
oven. Take it out of the oven when it is not in
use.
Safety when cleaning
No heating elements may be switched on while
the oven is being cleaned manually. Make sure
that the oven has cooled down sufficiently for
you to be able to touch the inside parts without
a risk of burning.
Always keep your oven clean. Grease spats
and stains will cause an unpleasant smell when
the oven is heating up.
Please ensure that seals on the door and in the
door frame are kept clean.
For purposes of electrical safety, steam clean-
ers and high pressure cleaning appliances may
not be used for cleaning the oven.
Avoid damage to the appliance as
follows
Never use the appliance to heat a room!
Do not line the oven bottom with aluminium foil!
Pots, roasting tins, baking trays and the univer-
sal pan may not be placed on the floor of the
oven. Heat will build up and may result in dam-
age to the material.
Fruit juice in cake toppings may leave dull
marks on the enamel. When making fruit flans
or similar bakes, please use the universal pan.
The oven door must not be subjected to exces-
sively heavy loads when it is open.
Please ensure that the oven is switched off after
you have used it.
