The battery charger does not switch off
automatically when the battery is fully
charged. The red LED extinguishes as soon as
the battery pack is removed from the charging
adapter.
If the battery pack fails to charge, please check
Ȝ whether there is voltage at the socket-outlet
Ȝ whether there is good contact at the charging
contacts
If the battery pack still fails to charge, we request
that you send
Ȝ the battery charger with charging adapter
Ȝ and the rechargeable battery pack
to our customer services department.
To ensure that the NC battery pack provides long
service, you should take care to recharge it
promptly. You must recharge the battery pack when
you notice that the power of the hammer screwdriver
drops.
Never allow the battery pack to become fully
discharged. This will cause it to develop a defect.
6.2 Changeover switch
Using the slide switch above the ON/OFF switch you
can select the direction of rotation of the hammer
screwdriver and lock the screwdriver so that it
cannot be switched on accidentally. You can select
between clockwise and counter-clockwise rotation.
In order to avoid causing damage to the gearing, the
direction of rotation must only be changed when the
screwdriver is at a standstill. When the slide switch
is in the middle position, the ON/OFF switch is
blocked.
6.3 ON/OFF switch
Infinitely variable speed control is possible with the
ON/OFF switch. The further you push the switch, the
higher the speed of the cordless hammer
screwdriver.
6.4 Tightening screws / nuts
Plug the required drive socket insert on the square
drive mount. Select the correct direction of rotation
on the hammer screwdriver. Push the drive socket
insert onto the screw head and actuate the ON/OFF
switch.
For as long as the screw / nut is untightened, the
tool works as a normal screwdriver. Only when the
screw / nut is tightened does the tool work as a
hammer screwdriver.
It is imperative that you use a torque wrench to
check a torque which has been specified by a
manufacturer. In doing so, ensure that you observe
the information supplied by the manufacturer in the
directions for use.
Most mounting parts can be tightened within a few
seconds. The time required to achieve the maximum
torque depends on the actual case of application
and can be determined with experience.
6.5 Loosening screws / nuts
For as long as the screw / nut is tightened, the tool
works as a hammer screwdriver. As soon as the
screw / nut is untightened, the tool operates as a
normal screwdriver.
