Any errors made in following the safety regulations
and instructions may result in an electric shock, fire
and/or serious injury.
Keep all safety regulations and instructions in a
safe place for future use.
Waste disposal
Batteries: Only dispose of these items through motor

3. Proper use
The charger is designed for charging non-
maintenance-free 12 V starter batteries (lead acid
batteries) which are used in motor vehicles.
If you are using maintenance-free 12 V starter
batteries (lead acid batteries), you must monitor the
charging process and switch off the equipment once
the end-of-charge voltage (gassing) is reached in
order to prevent damage to the starter battery by
overcharging. This equipment is not designed for lead
AGM/gel batteries.
The equipment is to be used only for its prescribed
purpose. Any other use is deemed to be a case of
misuse. The user / operator and not the
manufacturer will be liable for any damage or injuries
of any kind caused as a result of this.
Please note that our equipment has not been
designed for use in commercial, trade or industrial
applications. Our warranty will be voided if the
machine is used in commercial, trade or industrial
businesses or for equivalent purposes.
4. Technical data
Mains voltage: 230V ~ 50 Hz
Power rating: 60 W
Rated output voltage: 12 V d.c.
Rated output current: 2,8 A arith/4 A eff.
Battery capacity: 12-60 Ah
5. Operation
Most motor vehicle manufacturers recommend
that the battery should be disconnected from the
vehicleʼs electrical system before being charged.
We would like to point out that even standard
vehicles are fitted with a whole host of electronic
equipment (such as ABS, ASR, injection pump
and on-board computer). Any voltage peaks that
occur may cause defects in these electronic
modules. Therefore the battery should be
disconnected from the electrical system before
being charged.
Please also refer to the instructions in the
ownerʼs manuals for the car, radio, navigation
system, etc.
Proceed as follows to change the battery:
The battery terminal which is not connected to the
bodywork (normally “+”) must be connected first. The
other connection must be made to the bodywork but
not near the battery or the fuel pipe. The battery
charger is then connected to the power supply
network.
By way of example, the charging procedure is
described below for a battery which is connected by
its minus pole to the bodywork.
Figure 2:
Release or remove the battery stoppers (if fitted)
from the battery.
Figure 3:
Check the acid level in the battery. If necessary, top
up the battery with distilled water (if possible).
Important. Battery acid is aggressive. Rinse off any
acid splashes thoroughly with lots of water and seek
medical advice if necessary.
