9. HYDRAULIC INSTALLATION
INSTALLER
9.1. General rules for hydraulic installation
The hydraulic connection depends on the type of system.
However, there are some “common rules”:
The hydraulic system must work with pressure.
The system must work with a pressure between 1 and 1.5-2 bar when hot on a closed tank circuit.
DO NOT install the product on a primary system with an open expansion tank.
The presence of a buffer tank (inertial storage tank) is advisable but not mandatory. Its presence has the advantage
of freeing the product from the “sudden” demands of the system and allowing integration with other heat sources. It
reduces consumption and increases the efficiency of the system. Edilkamin recommends a 15-20 l/kW buffer tank.
The return temperature of the water to the product must be at least 50-55° C to avoid condensation phenomena.
For the heating of any low temperature radiant panels, a buffer tank (inertial storage tank) must be installed as
indicated by the manufacturer of the radiant panels themselves.
The material used in the circuit must be suitable to withstand any overtemperatures.
The installer must decide whether conditioning products are required based on the type of water and system. In Italy,
refer to Standard UNI 8065 (water treatment in heating systems for civil use).
The hydraulic system must be designed in accordance with local and national regulations.
Installation must be carried out by qualified personnel in accordance with local and national
regulations
The presence of the expansion tank in the product does not guarantee adequate protection
against the thermal expansion suffered by the water in the entire system. The design must
take into account the calculation of the required expansion tank volume
