8.17. Coatings, hood liners and their vents
Only coat the product after:
Checking that the product is level.
Connecting the product to the flue gas outlet and air intake
Checking the product when hot
The installer must follow all the rules of proper installation and take all precautions against overheating and fire, in
particular:
When building a possible plinth under the base, a suitable gap must be provided for the passage of recirculation
air from the room;
The wooden parts must be protected with fireproof panels, not placed directly on them but at least 1 cm away
from them, to allow an air flow which prevents heat from building up.
It is a good idea to ventilate the inside of the hood liner by exploiting the air flow that enters from below, which, by
connective motion, will exit from the grille at the top, allowing for heat recovery and preventing excessive overheating;
we recommend as on the previous page.
In addition to the above, take into account the regulations in force in each country concerning “insulation, finishes,
coatings and safety recommendations”.
Check the operation of the product before coating it.
This check must be performed with the product switched on and running for a few hours,
before installing the cladding, in order to be able to intervene if necessary.
Consequently, finishing operations, such as the construction of the hood liner, the installation
of the cladding, the execution of half pilasters, painting, etc., must be performed once the test
has been successfully completed.
