3. Installation
The controller should be installed at a place in the
room which:
●
is freely accessible for ease of operation
●
is free from curtains, cupboards, shelves etc.
●
permits free air circulation
●
is not directly exposed to solar radiation
●
is free from draughts (opening of windows and
doors)
●
is not directly exposed to heat source
●
is not located on an external wall
●
is 1,5 m above the floor.
Install direct on a conduit box, or with adapter frame
ARA 2E.
4. Electrical connection
Caution: disconnect electric circuit from supply
In making the electrical connection, proceed in the
following sequence:
●
Remove the temperature adjustment knob (1)
●
Push the mounting hook outwards, using a screw
driver
●
Remove housing top
●
Push out battery compartment, using a screw dri-
ver, remove battery protection strip
●
Carry out electrical connection in accordance
with circuit diagram (see housing top)
Note:
●
Connect n/c valves to terminal 2
●
Connect n/o valves to terminal 3
●
When temperature is below set value, contact
9-2 is closed.
●
When mode selector switch is in Off position
n/o and n/c valves are closed.

2. Function description
The timer thermostat is designed to control the
room temperature.
In the automatic mode, a changeover is effected
between comfort and set-back temperature by the
built in timer.
If room temperature falls below set value, heating is
started.
6. Operation
Setting of temperatures
Comfort temperature (day temperature)
This is set by means of the adjustment knob (1)
on the outside.
Setback temperature (night temperature)
This is set by means of the adjustment knob (2)
under the cover.
Setting the time
Place one finger on the dial (3) and turn it in the
desired direction to set the time.
Arrow (4) points at the selected time.
Setting the switching times
Using a pointed object, move the switch actua-
tors (5) into desired position.
Outward = Comfort temperature
Inward = Set-back temperature
Mode selector switch (6)
É Comfort temperature, permanent (day temp.)
2 Automatic mode, timer-controlled changeover
between comfort- and set back temperature
Set-back temperature, permanent (night temp.)
P Frost protection, permanent (5°C)
Off, no control taking place. The controller itself
is not separated from operating voltage.
Battery change
If the timer noticeably lags, battery should be
changed within 1 week.
When changing the battery, observe correct po la-
rity.
