Connectthechargertothepowerportofthemobilephone.Oncethebatterysymbol
startsashing,thephonestartscharging.
3.1 INSERTING THE SIM-CARD
Thesimcardcontainsyourpersonalinformation,suchasyourphonenumber,yourPIN
(personalidenticationnumber),PIN2,PUK(PIN2releasecode),PUK2(PIN2release
code)andtheIMSInumber(Internationalmobileuseridentication)aswellasnetwork
information,addressbook,textmessages,etc.
» Thesimcardslotisinsidethephone.Ifyouwanttoinsertthesimcard,opentheback
cover,removethebattery,turnthephoneonthebackandthenyouwillseethesim
cardslot.
» Carefullyplacethesimcardwiththemetalcontactsurfacefacingdownintothecard
compartmentandsecureit.Toremovethesimcard,pleaseturnothephonerst,then
openthebackcoverandthenremovethesimcard.
» Openthebackcover,removethebatteryandplacethesimcardintothesimcardslot.
» Pleasehandlethesimcardwithcare.Rubbingandbendingcaneasilycausedamage
thesimcard.
» Pleasebecarefulwiththemobilephoneanditsaccessories(e.g.,simcardparts)and
keepitoutofreachofchildren.
3.2 INSERTING THE MEMORY CARD (MICROSD CARD)
Thisoneislocatedinsidethephoneandbestdescribedasapluggablemobile
memorycard.WhentheUSBmemoryfunctionisactivatedonthephoneandthe
computerisconnected,thedatacanbetransferredfromthecomputertothemobile
phoneviaamicroSDcard.
INSTALLATION METHODS
Turnthephoneo,openthebackcover,removethebattery,anddisconnectitfromany
externalpowersupply.Then,turnthephoneonthebacktolocatethememorycardslot.
Rotatethememorycardwiththemetalcontactfacedown.Carefullyinsertthecardintothe
trayandsecureit.Youmustrstturnothephoneandopenthephone‘sbackcoverto
removethememorycard.
REMARK:
Becausethestoragecapacityofthephonememoryislower,youshoulduseamemory
cardtostoreyourdatasothattheuseofyourphoneisnotimpaired.

ThemobilephonesupportsaUSB1.0port.Youcanconnectthephonetothecomputer
usingaUSBcabletocopy/movedataandperformotheroperations.Likewise,youcan
view/listentophotos,soundrecordings,videos,etc.storedonthephoneonthecomputer.
UsingtheUSBcable:ConnecttheUSBcabletotheUSBportofthePCononesideand
theothersidetothe„USB/Chargeport“ontheleftsideofthephone.
3.4 USING THE SECURITY PASSWORD
Yourmobilephoneandsimcardhavevariouspasswords.Thesepasswordscanhelpyou
preventunauthorizeduseofyourmobilephoneandyoursimcards.Ifyouareprompted
forpasswordsthatareexplainedbelow,entertheappropriatepasswordsandpresstheOK
key.Ifanerrormessageappears,press„Delete“tocorrecttheincorrectinputandthen
enterthecorrectnumber.Usethe„Settings->Securitysettings->Changepassword“
menutochangePINcode,PIN2codeandtelephonepassword.
PHONE PASSWORD
Thephonepasswordprotectsthephonefromunauthorizeduse.Thephonepasswordis
usuallysuppliedbythemanufactureralongwiththephone.Themanufacturer‘sdefault
phonepasswordis„1122“.Ifthemobilephoneislocked,youmustenterthetelephone
passwordtostartitup.
PIN CODE
ThePINcode(personalidenticationcode,4-8digits)protectsyoursimcardfrom
unauthorizeduse.ThePINisattachedtothesimcard.WhenactivatingthePINcheck
function,youarepromptedtoenterthePINaftereverystartup.Ifyouhaveenteredan
incorrectPINthreetimesinarow,thesimcardwillbeblocked.Tounblockit,proceedas
follows:
» Accordingtothescreendisplay,enterthecorrectPUKcode,tounlockthesimcard.
» EnterthenewPINcodeandpressthe“OK„button.
» Youarepromptedtore-enterthenewPINcode;enterthenewPINcodeagainand
pressthe“OK“button.
» IfthePUKcodeiscorrect,thesimcardisunlockedandthePINcodechanged.
Note:
IfyouhaveenteredtheincorrectPINthreetimes,thesimcardislocked.Tounlock,you
shouldusethePUKcode.ThePUKcodeisusuallyfoundinthedocumentationofyour
networkoperator.
