Starting-up the unit
• NON-STICK COATING
Lightly grease the baking surfaces before the unit is used for the first time.
Operate the unit at the "Max." position for approx. 10 minutes with the baking
section closed (see "Using the unit"). Then wipe it down with a damp cloth.

Using the unit
1. Put the plug into an earthed 230 V, 50 Hz mains socket. Both control lamps light
up.
2. The orange control lamp lights up during heating. Keep the baking unit closed
during the warming-up time. The light goes out once the heating time is over
and the baking temperature has been reached.
3. Open the lid and insert a double slice of toast with filling in between into each
slit. Then close the lid gently. Lock the handles into place by using the hinge.
4. The indicator light comes on again once baking has been finished.
5. Open the lid and remove the slices of toast with a wooden fork or the like. Do
not use any sharp or cutting objects to avoid damage to the coating of the bak-
ing plates.
6. The baking section should always be closed in the intervals between baking.
