USER’S INSTRUCTIONS
This battery is an airtight battery with a rated
12V voltage controlled by valves. It does not
require any checking of the electrolyte level or
any topping up. If the battery is not used for a
long time, recharge it at least every three
months.
1. Read the instructions before using the battery.
2. Explosion danger. All batteries, while being
charged, develop flammable gases that, if trig-
gered, could cause the battery to explode.
3. Wear safety goggles. Gases may cause injuries
or blindness.
4. Corrosion danger. Please remind that the elec-
trolyte is a diluted solution of sulphuric acid: in
case of contact with your skin, wash thorough-
ly with water. If contact is made with your eyes,
after washing them thoroughly with water, seek
immediate medical advice.

5. During charging operations avoid any sparks,
open flames and lit cigarettes.
6. Keep out of the reach of children.
7. This is a recyclable product. It contains lead. Do
not discard it in the environment and dispose of
in compliance with the laws in force.
• Never remove the strip on the top of the cover.
• If there are breakages of the block, cover, or ter-
minals or if the valve housing strip has been tam-
pered with, REPLACE THE BATTERY.
• If the machine is idle for over a month, remove
the battery and store it in a dry and safe place.
• Recharge the battery completely before rein-
stalling it.
• Always recharge the battery prior to its first use,
especially after lengthy periods of storage
(before the machine is sold).
• When not in use, keep charge level using the
specific maintenance battery charger (if includ-
ed).
To check the charge status, measure the voltage
using a voltmeter. The battery (after it has been
recharged) must be resting for at least 12 hours.
Recharge the battery, with an open circuit volt-
age lower than 12.6 V. If a battery is left dis-
charged for over a month, it may suffer damage.
Recharging methods
Use
• Recharge only with a constant voltage battery
charger. If a conventional battery charger (for
cars) is used, the battery may suffer damage.
• Make sure that the connection between the bat-
tery terminals and the battery charger are cor-
rect.
• To recharge the battery, follow the instructions
below:
Battery charging in extreme conditions
If the batteries are fully depleted and have been left
uncharged for prolonged periods (> 15 days) we
recommend you charge the batteries at 0.5-f 1.0 A
constant voltage for at least 10 – 12 hours and then
slow charge (at constant voltage) as described
above.
WARRANTY CONDITIONS
Should an operation fault occur, have the machine’s electric system checked and the battery charged
if it is flat. Any battery which is defective after being charged shall be covered by the warranty terms
and conditions applied by the sale network. In any case, the warranty shall not apply where the defect
is caused by improper maintenance or tampering.
